An evening post

This is a bit different, posting in the early evening. Once in awhile I have to live dangerously....take a chance and throw caution to the wind. Let me tell you it is a little windy out here tonight. First How about a mail delivery...
This was gifted to me by Stephanie from Blue Star Stitcher who just finished stitching this. I am waiting to see how she finishes hers. Isn't it wonderful!  I think I  will finish mine as a pillow. Just so much hanging space.Stephanie lives right here in Arizona. Then this arrived
Since I can not wait, I already started one. I do not size 40 tatting thread, so I am trying size 30. I also have pearl cotton size 12 which may be very close to the 40. No matter, I am anxious to make this. I do enjoy my tatting. So, knowing I will be making this or that, my fingers did some on-line shopping.....
these new colors also arrived.  I have enough to keep me busy for a while. One day I may even try a doily...or not. Time will tell.  Today my friend Glenda and attended a local church fashion show and luncheon. It was not, how shall I say this;  okay, we both will not be attending next years production. Someone needs to organize them a little better. Not a total loss, out with a friend is nice no matter where you go or do.  Have you noticed the date? February has come and is almost gone. I know, you are saying well it is a short month....but it just has passed quickly for me. Actually lots of days/weeks/months seem to be flying by.  Right now, I need a cup of coffee and to put my feet up. It was nice having time to chat with you. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for your friendship. Have a good evening/day tomorrow.  💞

Mail delivery

You've no no no, I've Got Mail

This arrived yesterday...it is from KimM who is sending out 60, yes 60 RAKs in celebration of her birthday. Lovely gifts: pretty fabric with floss, a Swarovski crystal scissor fob which is currently on the scissor for my Bee Happy project! and a beautiful Limoges needle case...wonderfully painted. How lucky can a gal get.  It really made my day.  What a lovely gift from a lovely friend. Today I am having a sore foot day...yesterday I stubbed my left foot on the bed frame and thought little of it. Oh it hurt like...well you know. I am always barefoot and that is not always a good thing. I will try to remember to slip into my comfy Nike slides which I must admit eliminates some of the pain. Today there is black/blue tinge to it and it is a bit puffy. This is going to be a sit not walk day. Glad Mr H is off restrictions so he can now tend to the garden! which is where he is at the moment. Still waiting for the Monsoon storm....nothing here in the West Valley. We really are waiting for rain. Today there is a bit of wind but unfortunately it is hot and not comfy to enjoy. I just ordered The Sewing Basket from Niky at http://niky-nikyscreations.blogspot.com/2016/06/sewing-basket.html...I just love it! I know, I already have a few too may projects, but if you se it, which I know you will take a look...you can see that I must have it. Well my friends, so glad you stopped by today. Thank you for your precious friendship and kind words. Mr H just left for a doctor appointment ( all by himself)...today is 2 weeks since the surgery! Have a fun and safe 4th of July celebration for my USA friends....but wishing all you a wonderful weekend.

Kindness

Can you believe it is almost Christmas!? Living here in sunny warm Arizona, Mr H and I tend to lose track of time and days and holidays too. Don't misunderstand... we know what is going on, but it is different when there is no real change of seasons. It is December but I am still barefoot in the house, wearing shorts/capri pants  and short sleeve shirts. I wonder what Mr H will be cooking for Christmas dinner? The Christmas cards have been arriving and this one really made me smile...
It is from Annette. When I first starting blogging, the telephone rang one day and the voice introduced herself as Annette from California. This dear blogger took the time to look up my number to call me. Annette sent me a ball of tatting thread and the cutest needle book. One day it would be lovely to meet and chat and stitch. California is not very far from Arizona. I will find something to tat with this lovely shade of pink. I just asked Mr H about Christmas dinner.... "I don't know"... I am suggesting a Roasted Chicken and fixin's dinner.
I just started a tatted Star pattern and feel quite proud of myself as it is not a written (words) pattern only a diagram. It should be completed today. Mr H is going out shopping by himself so I will have a quiet time to figure the rest of the pattern. I can do it....
The sun is shining bright on this Winter Solstice day. Hope it is lovely wherever you are....glad you visited today....have a wonderful day.

Mail x 2

My PT session was not too bad yesterday. One of the exercises I was unable to do last week I did this week. as well as a few new added steps. Today is injection day. I am not looking forward to this at all. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday----torture days. Before you ask, I only feel slightly better. But, I am giving this the "old Girl Scout try"; that is to say, I will do this in hopes of not needing surgery. The reality is that this does not repair the tear or spur . Now before you ask, yes, I was a Girl Scout!
Yesterday's mail brought me....
My Christmas Ornament Exchange from Angela in Singapore..... isn't it cute. Bells and a snowflake charm. It will look so nice on my tree. Along with the exchange, Angela sent me a RAK. We both belong to the group, and this is what she sent....

lovely fabric, pretty trim and buttons and charms....It is a pleasure visiting your blog, Pretty Little Things in a Box. Angela is very talented. Stop by and see for yourself.
I must get to the Post Office to get a couple of packages out this week. I am going to try to get a few of my going back East packages out early too. They just need to be gift wrapped. My friends Lu and Stan already have been decorating. The temps there today will be around 43...cold! I do not miss that at all, at all! We are still in the 70's and I love it. The other day while Mr H and I were in the yard, this fella came to visit

 He is a Costa's Hummingbird. Just look at the vibrant purple... and he is sitting in the shade! What a sweet little guy. He is not afraid to hover close to us or sit and let us approach. This is a tree on the opposite side of the yard where our resident hummer sits. Each of these 2 trees has a feeder to keep everyone happy. I have a couple of hours before the needle..... so I think I will settle down with my cup of coffee and think about the finishes I will do later. Thank you for visiting with me and your kind words. Hope your day is grand.

A surprise and a witch....

Yesterday when I returned from the Post Office I found my mail delivery. A package for me! I love to find mail especially for me, not bill, ads and the like. Something for just me. The letter with it said Surprise! and I was....
a lovely pin-keep and personalized gift tags! I will be using these soon. How thoughtful of Lynn to think of me. She is very talented and her blog is wonderful, be sure to stop by and visit with her. Did you notice that the gift card for the pin-keep is the same design? Talented indeed. Lucky me.
Another witch has been stitched and this one is for me...
I really enjoy embroidery, it was one of the first hand work crafts I learned as a child. I may be doing a little more of it in the near future. Thank you for the wonderful comments on my Hummingbird Garden framed and hung. It really is nice to see as I enter the kitchen from the living room. Today I will be at work so my stitch time is nil. Tomorrow Mr H has more tests... and today he has many restrictions one of them being no food! I have posted so many notes: no milk, no solid foods, only orange jello, drink all day, etc., etc. Hope he reads them! I will be a little stressed at work to say the least not being here to "take care" of him. I think I want need a glass of wine....too early so I will settle for a cup of tea. Thanks for stopping by today and do have a good day.

Sometimes you just need to take a deep breath.

I got mail

Yesterday was day 2 spent at the cardiologists office so Mr H could continue testing. We will return today for the final test. I brought along a small project to work on yesterday and will continue on it today. Each visit is for around 2 hours.... today hopefully will not be as long. I did get a package in the mail....
from Cucki, all the way from her Cove. She made all the items herself except for the Giraffe painted pencil. Sounds like a mini drum when you twirl it. Love all the stamps on the package.... Thank you my dear sweet Cucki. I am so happy to count you as a friend. Our blogging community is such a wonderful place. We care, we share and we encourage one another.... what more can you ask for. It would be wonderful to meet some of you in person... so, if anyone is heading to Arizona, please do let me know....
Our weather is quite cloudy right now and there is that wind again. Would not be too bad except it is a hot wind.The umbrellas will not be up today for sure. I am feeling lazy today...
Tuesday after work, a group of Jo Ann's gals went for dinner at The Olive Garden. It is right in our parking lot!
We counted 9 of us and had fun and good food. I enjoyed the Parmesan Shrimp dish...yum! Oh, and a Mojito too. We are going to try to get together at least monthly. Do you see me? I am way in the back of the right side....(white blouse) good to spend time away from work and share friendship. Our next outing may be a pool party and pot luck lunch..a few of the gals offered their home as a meet up.
I absolutely need a cup of coffee...and a needle in my hand, so off I go. Glad you stopped by to chat..... hope you have a wonderful day.

I got mail

A beautiful day is starting here...sun shining, waiting for another cup of coffee to brew. I guess you do not know this about me.... I brew one mug of coffee at a time...I hate coffee that has been sitting awhile. The only time that I brew more is when I want some left for iced coffee and I love my iced coffee. I must get to the post office this morning. I have an Easter package to mail out to 3 children back in Rhode Island. I don't mind if they get it a day late....I am sure they will not care. Yesterday I got mail...a RAK from Deborah...
wow...a Shepherd's Bush Autumn pattern, buttons lace trim, fabric flowers owl print fabric and the Tulip Pin pillow that I loved from her blog post! I love the pretty sheer red with gold roses pouch that the beads were in.... and a note from her with tea pots on it. She certainly knows what I like. I am so lucky to have this package...thank you Deborah...wish I had an email addy for her, but I will also post to the Random Acts of Kindness blog so hopefully she will know how happy she made my day.
Do you know about the Easter Treasure Hunt   that Jo organized? Well be sure to return here tomorrow for my post and a link of the other posts. Bee update: The Pest Control guy came and sprayed the nest...said it is very large and he hopes they got it all. He also said that only 75% of the bees are home at any given daylight time.... who knew! I am happy to share some time with you, thank you for visiting and the kind words which make my day. Hope you have a wonderful day too.

A new week....

Finally feeling better.... at least I am now but we shall see how I feel at the end of my work day! Mr H and I spent the afternoon walking around Cave Creek.... found a nice western antique shop, had a bit of lunch at Harold's and just enjoyed the warm 80's temp. I must admit, I was tired by evening. I must show you a RAK that arrived Saturday...
it is from Dawn. This clippers are about 30 years in my possession. Before that they were in Mr H's tool box at Health-Tex where he worked. He set up and fixed the knitting machines there until they closed business in Rhode Island. They are a bit heavy and most fobs do not seem to "fit"...but his lovely RAK arrived from Dawn. The beads are so pretty.... and look at the end... it is a thimble. Thank you for making my Saturday bright.
Remember the Ficus tree frost damage...
it looks much better since Mr H trimmed it. The tree has been here just outside our back wall for a few years now. The frost really hit it hard despite our efforts to cover it and keep it warm with 2 spot lights. Mr H plans to keep it at a manageable height for awhile in case of more frosty winter temps. While we are chatting about nature.... Mrs Gamble Quail has decided to put her nest back into the plant in the yard! No matter that Mr H heavily covered the plant with netting. She continued to find her way in and so far has left 4 eggs. So, off came the netting for now. "But next season..." is what I heard Mr H mumble. I will let you know what happens with the nest. Our experiences over the past years have varied....
Update on Mom...she is back home. At first the doctor suggested Re-Hab, but she has done well so it is with in home care for  now. Nothing broken.... but she is quite sore still. Thank you for your kind words for her and me.... thank you for spending some time chatting today.... enjoy your day.

What the Postman delivered

I finished my March page for the Needlework Master's SAL group...
I tried to Tat an egg shape...not too bad. This of course is Needle Tatting and I added a butterfly and a cute flower brad. The Cross stitch Bunny you may remember is/was a traveling pattern sent to me from Lee. It is Bent Creek Littles, The Bunny. I have lost track of it since I sent it off to Anne Bernstein. On Tuesday just as I was leaving for work...which is the usual mail delivery time, this is what arrived....#1

 From Nicola who sent a wonderful book with a DVD on Shuttle Tatting and a lovely book for Net Embroidery. Now I have watched a few videos on line that were okay, but they were not by people who wrote a great descriptive book. So far as you can see, I have been able to use the shuttle for the simple tasks. Look closely  at the red picture and you can see some improvement! As for the other book.... just look at the intricate embroidery.... maybe I will try that too.

The #2 delivery ... was from my sis Lynowl. She is always looking to add to my thimble collection.
This is another Kirks Folly... a shamrock on one side and the clover on the other. Always with Swavorski Crystals for extra special sparkle.  It now sits on the top ledge of the thimble cabinet... I only have 9 empty cubby holes left.
It was a good Tuesday mail day! Taxes have finally been e-filed... still trying to find the book that I downloaded to my tablet.... and started another bracelet on the beading loom. I must really say thank you for all the kind words of encouragement on my tatting....also for getting well....you are all so wonderful. I welcome a few new followers..... I enjoy meeting you and visiting your blogs.  I am now going to pick up the file box that fell off the computer desk and re-file the 300 or so index cards that are now all over the floor. If it was put where it belonged.... well you know. Too late for that now. Another cup of coffee and a scone sounds like a good idea...then I will fix the files. Whatever your day holds for you, I hope it is relaxing and fun. Hugs to all of you from me!

More than a cold but less than the flu

What a week! I finally feel like joining society again. This past week was spent mostly in bed, with over the counter meds that Mr H keep bringing me and periods of napping. Yesterday was my first day back and I can tell you, it was a busy sale day and I was only too happy to return home to rest. But lots happened last week. No, not much stitching at all....
First the postman brought this..
a RAK from Patty....love it. The chenille trim is perfect as is her stitching. It certainly brought sunshine to my Saturday.  Thank you Patty for thinking about me.
I mentioned that I did not stitch much...well, I did manage to get leaves stitched on my Hardanger piece. There is just the last section to complete so I can move on. I am happy that this part will be finished. But... and I do mean but.... next is the cutting of threads and that is always the hard part. I stress over making sure I cut the right ones!
Moving ahead.... Monday I decided to venture out for a few errands with Mr H. You know, before going back to work...... I stopped at the bead shop ...
I love beading on a loom... my loom is from many years ago so I decided to get modern. This is a really nice loom to use. I just grabbed some beads that are already mixed to try it out. On the way home Mr H pulled into Best Buy and I thought, oh not today to browse around at stereo/TV stuff. But...
look what I got. I am still playing around with it, but so far so good.

Last night I was able to download a library book...get Netflix...  and find my blog. So, it will take me time, but sooner or later it will be comfortable for me to handle. I am not tech savvy. My phone is still a simple device and I have trouble at times. I do alright with the Bluetooth in the car, but remembering how to navigate phone buttons....imagine if I tried to text!
Today will be my easy day... relax... a little bit of beading, stitching and trying to figure out the tablet. Whatever you decide to do today, I hope it is enjoyable.
Thank you for the kind words and emails wishing me well this last week. I sure did miss reading your blogs. I will plan to catch up this week. Hugs to you all.

The Postman Always Rings Twice----

~~~~~"A married woman and a drifter fall in love then plot to murder her husband......."
No No No...first of all I do not like my mailman and secondly  I would never plot to murder Mr H. I would have to find a few good men to replace him or one very good man then break them/him in all over again. I am not as young as I once was --- oh never the mind.   But, I did have 2, count them 2 days of wonderful finds in my mailbox. The first was a RAK from Jodi...
All set for Valentines Day with sweets and heart trimmed ribbon and fabric too.... and 2 very nice patterns. Thank you Jodi...
The next day --- another RAK, this time from Carolyn. Thank you my friend---- I always meant to buy both of these, but they just seemed to remain on my wish list. Now I have them! This new blog group is the best. Have you visited and seen the lovely RAKs traveling about? We are a sharing people.
We had another busy day at work and I think today maybe also. People are in the Valley for the PR Chang Rock N Roll Marathon which is this Sunday. I really admire those who participate. The temps for the race are going to be excellent... starting with mid 40's then by 1 PM when many will finish it is going to be in the 60's. I will keep track between stitches from one of my corners. A big play-off game on Sunday...The NE Patriots vs The Ravens.....my team the Pats and Susan (Plays With Needles) The Ravens.... anyone else out there for one of these 2 fine teams?
I have been stitching a bit on my Winter Humbug, but until the weekend, there is only slow stitching. I am hoping to finish the stitch part this weekend so I can move on with a few other things. I am trying to stay on one project at a time like I used to do.... let's see if I have restraint. If I were a bettor, I would have to bet against myself! Anyway, I wish you all a wonderful day and weekend.....so happy you stopped by.
Lovely gifts and a bit of Christmas
This is the earliest I have ever put up decorations! Mr H helped me take down from storage all the Christmas stuff yesterday and by 4 AM today, the snowman are sitting in their places, the Autumn centerpiece is now Christmas, the Angels are on the shelves and the Kitchen tree is up with it's own gold spider.  Our small village is displayed on the mantle this year. Oh and the postman this week has brought some lovely xchanges....
I had a private exchange with Angela  from Hooked on Stitches and Elsia from Old Ragged Threads, and  June  from Butterfly Wings chose me to receive one of her creations. My Ziz Tree is up in the kitchen and of course it has a spider. I did mail out several spiders and hope they make it to their own trees too. Just look how lovely my gifts are! Thank you ladies for you creations. They will hang on my Ziz Tree this year.
Remember the Sun Dried Bread...don't know what went wrong, but I had to trash it... I will try it again, just not yet. I had planned to make bread this morning but I just got too busy with other things! Work today, so the decorations will have to wait until this weekend..... unless I have nothing better to do tomorrow morning at 3 or 4 AM! My BBD exchange has been received by Linda and I have sent my SSCS and Reindeer food to some sweet children. Moms...please remember to sweep up most of the food before the kids wake on Christmas morning. That's about it today my friends....thanks for sharing some time with me. Thank you for the kind words and emails.... have a wonderful day.
A new week....
Oh I am so glad that I am feeling better. Had a couple of days that I want to file away and forget. I did very little stitching, or blog visiting, or anything else. I even slept late on Sunday morning... I got up at 5:45 am...3 hours late to start the day! Can you imagine my surprise when I saw the clock.
I often wonder if others who visit me read my page... you know the sidebars. Do you give it any thought? I like to read what others have listed. Well, I received a pattern from "my wish list" from Sheila B....
I love this sampler......thank you again Sheila for your thoughtfulness.
The Madam and I have had a few quiet days, but on my last time out, Mr H and I took a short ride and came upon a horseback ride for a resort nearby and found this sweet guy...
He was prancing around and calling out to his fellow horses....a beautiful color don't you think. While we watched him run around, we heard birds calling very loudly and urgently....
Across the field was a Great Horned Owl in the tree where obviously the Mockingbirds did not want him. He of course totally ignored their flying about and "attacking" him. I know it is not easy to spot him... but he is in the center of the picture.
That is about it for now. No particular plans for today. I am pleased you took some time to visit with me...welcome to my new friends , so happy you are here. Have a great day....
The Postman only had to ring once!
When the back bell rings I think mail~~~~and yes indeed
Sometime back  I had wished for a thimble to add to my Arizona Bound adventure from RI to AZ. It was one that I could not get on our way out here from Illinois. Mary Jane aka Calamity Jr sent me the above. Of course it was wrapped in lavender tissue....the thimble is perfect and the thread.....WDW Peoria Purple....she wrote, "the floss is meant to be a token of friendship from Peoria IL"~~~~ because I live very near Peoria AZ. So special...thank you my friend.
The Post card exchange has been fun...
These are the ones I have received.
I managed some stitching  yesterday...
Now we have 2 fluttering butterflies.....and a bee buzzing!
Just look at it~~~~I know his wings are hard to see because they ar white.....there will be a few more on this piece.
Posting today and yesterday has been a PITA~~~~trouble uploading pictures. Is it me?????
WEll, I had a busy morning and the afternoon will be alos. Mr H and I are going to the Cardiologist for testing. The surgeon want this and one more test before surgery. That may be in 2 weeks.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your day is relaxing.
Hooray Humbug
If the moon gets stuck in a tree......
cover the hole in the sky with a strawberry.
Hooray the Humbug is finished.....
From the picture, it is hard to read that the letters are the word sunflower.....
It is a delightful pincushion. I can't wait to make a few more.
this was a freebie from http://mankaminta.blogspot.com/--stitched on 28ct stash linen
DMC: 3364  3822  3820  920  801 colors......
Thursday I received my chart for Happy Camper from Teresa.
She stitched it then offered it for a drawing. I think it so cute.....even though I would not---have not ever gone camping! No tents---not cots---I need a real bed and a flushing indoor toilet!!!!
Then to brighten my day yesterday.....
This RAK arrived from Blu Stitcher. Thank you Linda for all the fun things. As soon as I removed this sun whirly from the box, Mr H took out to hang....
and look at these sweet buttons...
teapot and tea cup!
Did I mention that Mr H and I love Almond candy.....and that was opened immediately! Linda is a  fellow Arizonan.
It is so nice to find a package in the mail when your spirits need a lift.
Today I got to sit out a little bit with my coffee.....until I could feel the heat. I will be off to work later today...then off until Thursday......good time to stitch. I do not have a picture to post of my challenge piece even though I did stitch on it. Tomorrow is another day.
It was so very nice to chat with you today...thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a great day.
More than a RAK.....a generous gift.
What a Saturday...work was busy...left early cause I was coughing and feeling very tired...but........when I arrived home, Mr H said there is a surprise for you on the table! What ? for moi? And there it was....a large envelope....from Australia !
Yes, that's right! My very own A Gardner's Journal peeking out from those daisies.I visit with Chookyblue and Fiona and just loved their quilts from this book. I tried and tried all the local shops here in Arizona....no one carried it or could get it. So I went in search on line and found where to purchase it. But before doing so, I contacted Fiona and her response was "I'll send it to you" yup, that's right just like that! So, it finally arrived with a lovely note from a generous lady. Now, understand that I can quilt but I am not a quilter...at least not like Chooky and Fiona, but I do have plans and will add them in to my current projects. I know,.... when where and how.....be assured I will. If you get the chance, visit with Fiona and check out her work and her friends and Chooky's place too. I have found the most delightful friendships here in blog world. People ready to share ideas, help with instructions and more.
I did not get to stitch last night as I had an asthma attack that I thought would result in an ER trip, but thankfully not...but it meant no stitching which means no update. I will get stitching done today.....
 Mr H and I are hoping to take a ride to the North Mountain Preserve...the Spring blossoms may be ready and some of the cactus are already flowering.....so maybe some pictures to share.
There is a giveaway...and it is from my home state! Check it out over at the left side..label Giveaways....
As always, I am so happy to have your visits, kind words and friendships....have a wonderful day.
I am okay! and look what arrived and a giveaway
You know, it is so nice to have friends worry about you......I received an e-mail from Emily because she did not see my "regular" early day post! I am just in one of those days...I have been stitching and Snowberries is almost finished so I thought i would post  later...I did not get a chance to post yesterday...why? you ask. ell Mr H decided we should take a ride over to Scottsdale Fashion Mall. For those who do not live in Arizona, it is a very large mall...time consuming to browse/shop/eat. As we passed Godiva Chocolates, he took me in to buy me a lovely box of assorted chocolates and one of their new Bakery Truffles, and some loose truffles to munch on immediately. In heaven I was....yum! Then I decided had to go to Harry and David's...of course if I was buying something for my sis Lyn, then I have to have something too!
By the time we returned home, our furbaby Zoe was sick...by the time all was taken care of, I did not feel like the Internet.
I like all of you love getting surprises...really ann=y package in the mail! Look what I receive from Cat and John....
The card is adorable...Pugs and Kisses it says inside! John did a fine job of selecting teas for me....Mr H wasted no time in grabbing the candy...thank you for the birthday gift and wishes....{{{hugs}}} to you both.
Faye is having a giveaway...check it out!
 So that is the story of what happened to yesterday ad this mornings post....
without further ado, I will meet you over at my other place for an almost finished Snowberries.....
A strange meeting~~and a special bird
I was at work yesterday...at JoAnn's...and I was cutting fabric for 3 ladies. They told me the netting and satin was for a birthday party that would be today. The girl would be the daughter of one and granddaughter of another. Anyway, they noticed my name tag and stated that the young girl's name was also Grace....then stated that her birthday was on the 3rd! I told them that it was also my birthday...then as I was cutting some lavender and then purple fabric for them, I said that these were my favorite colors....it happens to be that of the young girl too! Now tell me....was this strange or what. That has never happened to me before.
About this weather....I think The Valley is finally out of freeze warnings! It can't happen to soon for me. Mr H enjoys his garden and I feel bad that he may have lost a few plants and I know for sure part of our new Ficus tree has some damage. The birdbath actually had some ice in it.
Back in December, Maaike and I decided to exchange Chrsitmas cards. When hers arrived, it had a special ornie for me! I did post it to my other blog(??) but not here...so I want to share it with you.....
Isn't this lovely...it hangs in "my room"  on my window branch and I think of her everyday when I see it...All the way from Amsterdam just  for me.
I am thinking of randomly choosing birthdays as RAK's, so if anyone wants to send me, here or by email their bdate...you just may get a surprise. I have 2, count them....one...two...updates over at my other place.....I will meet you there so grab your cup of tea or coffee.....maybe it's a hot chocolate...anyway I will see you there....
A RAK~~~
The doorbell rang, it was the mail truck with a package....from Terri. What a wonderful RAK!
Everything was individually wrapped in lovely colored tissue.
some sweets...yum
some fabric and DMC threads
a lovely stitched pillow and note cards and pad
beautiful patterns for my stash........thank you my friend.
How nice that so many want to participate in my un-birthday celebration. I love Alice in Wonderland....the tea party....I could have taken one of my very own to it. I would love to find some stitchery for it. Remember, I will pick a name on February 3rd...still time to leave me a message.....
I find that I have 66 followers...a nice feeling that so many read my blog.
Have a wonderful day and I will stop by your place later....back to the Angel!
In the midst of a busy day...
Sometimes being semi-retired does not mean totally free days...okay, most days are stitch days  for me ...but yesterday was not one of those days. So much to do...when am I going to sit and stitch...and then the mail arrived. I opened the package and what a lovely surprise! Patty (Hanging On By A Thread) sent me a pinkeep.
Isn't it pretty? Thank you Patty for your thoughtfulness.
Chookyblue is setting up a 2nd Saturday display. I will not be posting for it, but I will be visiting to see everyone who does. It was very successful  last week and I am sure it will be a nice this time around. My newest ornament should be finished by then, but I will not have much more to show.
Thank you for stopping by ... hope to see you Saturday. Off to have my tea and stitch...of course....have a wonderful day.
