My Designer Exchange arrived

After a busy morning out I found this waiting for me...
It is my Designer Exchange from Kathy and Rory.... I love the Prairie Schooler design she chose and the hand towels too.

I am off to work today and not much stitching can be done. I do have most of next week off with only 2 doctor appointments with Mr H so I plan to stitch and finish up a few pieces.
I leave you with this picture I took just as we were getting ready to go to the doctor's appointment yesterday....
Zoe decided to rest on Mr H's slipper....what a face.

I forgot to take pictures of my 1st Blogiversary give away! But, Kaye did post pictures, so if you want to check it out, visit her blog and see.

I don't have any stitching pictures to post as I am working on an exchange piece and a few ornaments. I woke today feeling under a may be allergies ... or not. Guess I will just hope for the sunbeams to arrive back. Mr H is holding steady. I have said this before ... I am very spoiled. Having him ill has really put me in my place. I have to do cooking some of the time, he has been able to do some of the pond/plant care, and of course the marketing and getting gas. Now, about the gas. I have never pumped my own gas ... never! When I first was driving it was all full service stations.... then when self service came to be, my male friends always took the car for gas for me. After I married it was Mr H who took care of it. Now, it is me. Well, I found a station that still has a full service section! Yep, so I still have someone taking care of it for me. Now, it just remains to keep food and other tasks under control!

Well, as I said, a bit under the weather for me today so I will definitely be curled up in a chair. Maybe get  a few stitches done. Of course, an old movie is always nice.

I am so glad you stopped in today... have a grand day.

Lost but found!

As planned, Sandie and I set off from opposite ends of the Valley to meet yesterday. As I waited at "the meet spot", the phone rang. Sandie was in the wrong parking lot! Well, not to make this too long, after another attempt to meet up, I told her to stay put and I would go to her. Finally! When we finally met, all we could do was laugh...and that is how our meeting began ... and laugh we did often as we sat for lunch at Paradise Bakery. We chatted and shared stories. I learned that we have many things in common always good for a friendship. We plan more meetings. I hand delivered my Quilties and she showed me the beautiful mini quilt she is giving away. Go ... now ... to her blog and enter to win. And no, I did not think to take any pictures.... next time.

I am set to mail out today my Autumn Exchange....
just a peek...I am very pleased with it and hope my recipient likes it.

I am off to work today....hope it isn't too busy.... and that the shoppers are pleasant. Most are but you get the one or two who complain about the wait, the selection and almost anything else. I met an adorable little girl who was shopping on Saturday ... Bailey ... who is into making dolls. We chatted and I can tell she is going to be making some wonderful dolls.

Well, just want to say I am so happy you had some time to share with me. Have a wonderful day.

Meeting a blogger friend...

It's Sandie from Sandra Kaye who is hosting the Quilties exchange. We discovered early on that we live opposite one another here in the Valley. She on the East side and me here in West. So instead of mailing mine to her we are meeting this morning. There are several of Arizona bloggers... wouldn't it be nice to finally meet in person! It's a thought.....

It is already getting warm out so no sitting out with my coffee this morning. Laundry done! Bank visit accomplished! Milk bought! So, now a little relaxing before heading out. I may even get a few more embroidery stitches done.....Thank you for stopping by ... have a wonderful day.

Company to stitch with~~~

Look who sat with me as I stitched out on the patio this morning~~~ a female Costa's Hummingbird. It is hard to see, but a lovely iridescent green is on her tiny body. We sat together for a short time ... until the morning warmth started to chase me inside. She was about 3 feet away and not bothered by me at all.
I may have been tired after my shift at Jo Ann's yesterday ... but I did manage to find the strength to purchase some Christmas fabric...
Just a few pieces ....hard to see but the burgandy print and the green print ... the swirls are metallic gold.

And just look at this one! Christmas butterflies..... oh so sweet. Just a suttle hint of glitter gold in the wings and pine needles. No clue whare or what to do with it yet but I am sure I will find something.
WEll, I plan a stitchy day with football games.... the Patriots will be televised here in AZ so we will get to watch our team. Hope you all have a marvelous day.
p.s. .... Mr H is having a fairly good day...toes are crossed ... the fingers will be stitching!
