Another WIP finished

When last we chatted I had picked up a project started but put away. I have no idea why I did tuck it away, but in moving things around the craft closet there it was.

Have you done Looker Hooking? It is similar to doing latch hook. I really had only a few more rows to hook...

Now just to make it into a pillow.....

I have enough of the fabric used to make a backing..... just have to decide on which one.

Remember my Secret Santa Tracey? This is the wall hanging that was in my wonderful gift box... well, hanging.

I have it over the door to the craft closet.  The pockets are handy for not only pictures but reminders.....such as the Quiltie Exchange with Sandra Kaye.

Oh and my secret pen pal.... I received a card from Vicky revealing herself and her blog to me. Nice to meet a new friend.  

I am still trying to learn my computer... trying to do a few tasks I was able to do before it moved in with me. Love the new printer.... just have to get the computer to explain programs and how to use them to me......

good mail...2 days in a row

Well my dear friends, Mr H and I had 2..... count them .... one.... two.... good days but today he is not feeling well. I have a call in to the doctor....

we seem to be on this curvy road to..... ?where?

Monday we picked up a few plants...3 tomato, a Hibiscus , a strawberry and a sorted group to put here and there.  He did it over the 2 days as he could. It was nice seeing him outside planting.

But, on a happy note, yesterday I heard a thunk in the mail box. I quickly went to hte garage to check and there was this large white envelope and heavy too....

I had won a drawing from Blu Stitcher and they are lovely books. Then today I heard a quieter mail drop and included in the regular junk delivery was ......

yes! my Secret Pen Pal letter/card! She wrote such a lovely note... I can't wait to find out who she is. And that will be in our next mailing.  This has been fun. I would love for this to happen again..... maybe it will!
These blog friendships have been wonderful.

I have been busy busy with my gift stitching... so no stitch pictures today. I am only working Thursday and Saturday this week so it means more time to stitch. I can't tell you how much the kind words have meant to me.... thank you from the bottom of my toes..... have a good day at your place.

I have mentioned a few times my dear friend Ziz.... real name Linda but we will not go into the name thing again! Anyway, I could not let my 1 year blogging pass without doing a little something for her. From the very first attempt at my blogging and to this very day she has been encouraging. She does not have a blog but reads mine and some of yours daily.  How can you not like someone who praises your stitching and brags to others about you! But all kidding aside, I count her as a best friend. She is a Kansas girl who grew up in Mesa  before moving to the West Valley .... we moved to these condos the same time!. She has been a tower of encouragement with Mr H  and caring about my well being also. Both she and Mr Ziz can be counted on any hour of day or night.  When I left RI and long time friends itwas meant to be that I found Ziz. This was just a small token that I stitched for her.. I made it into a box top.....

added a few beads to the flower centers and trimmed it with Ric-rac....

Then there are our blog friends. Recently Kaye stitched a sweet Babushka design then offered it to us. I was selected and what arrived?

not only the pattern and some threads, but a 2 beaded kits and a few extras. Thank you Kaye!

The mail also brought me my Secret Pen Pal letter...

I am looking forward to finding out who this pal is in December.
Mr H is feeling a little better.... it is just taking more time than we thought. I tell him of all the kind words, you my friends, send to him... he really appreciates the thoughts.
I am off to work today....so no stitching. I am working on my Secret Santa exchange so there would be no pictures of that to share. I have also been working on some Christmas ornaments and started yet another project.... Where did I find the time!

What a difference a day makes~~~~~

Or in this case ... 10 days. Mr H is making good progress. His sleep habits are all off, but he is eating and drinking better.  Color is good. Tomorrow we see both surgeons and I do hope the news is good. We certainly could use it. Thank you all for being there for me ... so many good wishes and messages. i have missed my posting and visiting with all of you. By the time I had some time, I was just too tired. I treasure  you my friends!

Yesterday was Zoe's day to the Vet...

Our sweet girl has been having a few problems. Dr Lori thinks it may be Neurological. If that is the case time will tell.....The girl is 11 and still has a strong heart and good blood pressure. We will deal with it as it comes.
I had some wonderful mail... even though it took me a few days to check for mail!

There was a note card from my Secret Pen Pal (upper left corner) ...and more post cards .... and some stitching. I really did manage to get some stitching done sitting with Mr H in the hospital. Both of the pieces hidden in the mail are gifts.... so this is all you can see for now.
Well, that is it for now..... glad to be back in blog land.
