New fabric....

When I left work yesterday I left with.....
I just had to have these! The only one that I have specific plans for is the lady bugs...still, I just had to have the other pieces.
Since I worked all day yesterday I did not stitch at all. This morning I was too lazy to pick up my needle and right now I need must have some Cheerios and coffee...yes, I do not have milk with my Cheerios. It is an old habit I started back in the 60's! Actually, I hate milk and have very little of it. Enough with the ramble....
I am off to work again today...Jo Ann's is closed Sunday. It is the only day of the year they are closed. The Travelling Pattern....Tending the Blooms has reached Daffycat....so be sure to watch for her posting when it is ready to move again. I spent some time gathering what DMC I do have to start the Iris's. I only need 37 colors! I thought I had some 25 ct white linen but alas, I do not. I will call The Attic to order a piece.... or, a trip to Scottsdale which is closer to Old Town to get it. Next week will be soon enough.
I am always happy to have you visit with me....thank you for the kind words and email....have a wonderful day.
Hold on a minute, the phone is ringing.....Yes! I have the day off.....oh I do have plans.....stitching and planning for the fabric. Now, aren't you happy for me??????   :)

A new chart and another rose

I won the drawing that Nicola had and it was for a HAED chart . I have never stitched one of their charts so I was happy to learn that it would be one of my choice. I just downloaded  it and hope to get a start on it soon.
 First I will have to gather up the 90 colors! I have many of them so it will be shop DMC at Jo Ann's today. This is called Iris.... and I do love Iris's and of course the colors are so lovely in this. I think I may have to pick up the 25ct white linen also.

I have finished the second rose on my BBD
I have the last leaf to stitch and still deciding whether to do the border or make a change....
I do like the border, but as I am not sure yet of the final finish, I will think more on it.

I thought I would show you a lovely Dahlia that I see out my kitchen window...
The bright yet subtle oranges are so soothing. It actually glows in the sunlight. Just right for a Spring bloom. I am off to work today... I would love to sit and stitch..... but I do have to get those DMC threads!
In response to a few emails, no Madame Muriel has not arrived. Don't worry, when she does you will know!
 If I do see you before Easter, I do hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Thank you for visiting with me. Have a great day.

Blooms from a thoughtful friend ~

Mr H has in the past tried to grow Snapdragons from seed as well as buying plants. Never do they last.... here, outside our back gate is a deposit from one of the neighborhood feathered friends. I guess it is repayment for all the seeds we give them. Such a lovely pale pink. Just opposite this one is a white one....
Bright and lovely.  It is was very kind of the little winged friend to find a seed or  two and gift us with them. Seems it is the only way we will have them. Mind you, they get absolutely no care at all. No water and as rain is nil, I do not know how they are surviving.  As you can see, they are literally growing in a crack in the pavement! The trash and recycle trucks have been here weekly with no harm to them....really a gift.
I did get more stitching on my Roses from BBD....
I have finished another leaf with one more to stitch and began the second rose. This is really a very pleasant pattern to stitch. All of BBD patterns are.  When I think about it... there I go, thinking again.... more could have been finished on this..... but,I have had a very lazy couple of days. Actually, I think I needed them. Sometimes to clear away all the thoughts that float around in my head.
I am off to work today. Leaving earlier than normal so I can stop by to pick up my new glasses. A good test to have them at work and then if I need any adjustments I can return after work to have them done. So glad you had some time to visit with me. Have a wonderful day.....

Goin' around in circles......

~~~using a lot of time and effort to do something, without making any progress....... yep, that's me today.... goin' around in circles.
Here it is a bit after 4 pm and not much to show for the day. Oh I guess I could blame it on the Chinese take-out last night...very spicy and did not agree with my stomach.... could say it was the headache that I woke with because my stomach was upset from the take-out... could say.... well, I keep goin' in circles here.
I did get Zoe's meds from the vet and I did go to the post office .... I did some stitching on my Roses and I will post picture tomorrow .... today is about shot. My new glasses are ready to pick up but I am too lazy to go. Just as well. I can get them on the way to or the way from work tomorrow.  I need to pick up a few supplies to work on my cigar boxes and that too will be at work tomorrow.
Mr H and I have been getting ready for my brother Alan's visit on the 18th....now the kid is asking about Ultralight plane rides! Well, I best get back to goin' round in circles.....
Thank you for visiting with me today and I do hope your day has been more productive.
No Foolin'...it's April
The chimes are clanging and the Honeysuckle is swaying in the breeze...actually, it is a windy Sunday morning. I don't mind though. The sounds of the different chimes is so pleasant. I had the day off yesterday...I was hoping and then the call came. Mr H and I went on a few errands then I stopped to get a few cigar boxes. The young lady rand the first box just as I was going to say not to scan the bar code...it came up $199.75! I told her that was a very expensive empty box. She had that dump founded look and then I insisted she find the right bar code, which finally she did. I guess she could not tell the difference between a full box and the empty one.
the rest of our day was spend relaxing and perusing magazines...both Mr H and me, sitting outside until it got too warm. The temp was about 90 yesterday.....
This means of course that I did not stitching...just reading. Whatever your plans for this Sunday are, I hope they are pleasant and relaxing with just enough fun to make it so. Thank you for visiting with me....welcome to new followers.....
