Hooray for the weeks end

Hooray indeed.... with luck Murphy will be free of his decoration by Tuesday or Wednesday. He

walks around like poor me.... with his head held down! Doorways are a problem as is walking behind us all the while scraping our legs. When he wants, he can get up on the yard chairs or the bed but every so often he gives the woe is me look and waits for help. WE did remove the collar last night while we supervised him to prevent him from touching the incision. He played and was very happy. Today I will take it off for a short time. Alan and Lisa will be at work so it  will be quiet and he will be calm.

Murphy is not happy about the yard restrictions. Alan put up a temporary fence to keep him safe. What he does not know....yet... is that we are fencing it off permantely when the work is done.

I did mention that Alan was like a kid in mud...well, he was in mud. We are still waiting for the pants to dry to be washed!

I participated in Jo's Secret Valentine blog hop. We submitted a picture and she sent it to another then we visited and identified if it was from us. Always fun. These are made like the French Roses...fun to make.

 Speaking of Valentines.....Alan and Lisa brought me this from the Arabian Horse Show. It is a wonderful pouch that securely attaches to your waistband. One side has a opening perfect for my phone and the other has 3 zippered pockets great for license and money and keys. I love using it when Murphy and I go for our walks. Look at the sparkly angel...

***update....my heel is healing nicely...still hurts to wear shoes... best to wear slip ins!

To update you.... I am doing better than I thought. My bruise is even worse today if you can believe it and quite sore. The  right hand is less swollen and achy and I am doing my finger exercises! My nurse Robyn is still keeping an eye on me. I am I good hands for sure.

Secret Stitching Sweetheart

Happy Valentine's Day to all. Once again I join Jo for her Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop.

So who is my Secret valentine....who can it be? This is adorable and immediately brought a smile to my heart. I will be checking back and forth today to see a post claiming this sweet stitching. Mr H and I have no plans for celebrating...we have become quiet this past years just to enjoy one another everyday is enough for me. I tell him often how lucky is he to have me!!!! He just smiles. I will be visiting with the Tatting group this afternoon.  This morning I will be starting on the next page for Alice. The Felt Fir Tee is now holding all my tatted Ice Drops and will hold my small motifs also. I am off now to visit Jo's blog to see all the other posts for this blog hop and to find my valentine. this is my Valentine from??????? A lovely design...Please tell me who you are! Recently while shopping Downtown Old Scottsdale, I found...

It was just placed on a bush,,,the tag reads "I Need a Home...you are loved" and the address on the reverse side is ifoundaheart.com... How cute is this. I saved it just to show you for today.  I bet you are wondering if I did any sewing on the pretty fabric or the SAL from SnowFlower Diaries....well, the answer is no. The weather has been so lovely that Mr H and I have been sitting outside reading and listening to music. And on Friday we went to the Art Show at The Wigwam Resort.

First this beautiful clay dragonfly just had to come home with me....and then Mr H who loves anything buffalo needed to have.....

wonderful mounting and detail. Be sure to click on the pictures to see the detail. All in all it was a very nice day. Everything is at the ready to sew or to cross stitch, but feeling lazy has taken over.
I probably will stitch on March SAL today, outside of course. Just to nice to sit inside with the sewing machine. It is always so nice to have you visit with me. End of the week already?

Just where did this week go.... it seems as though it was Monday yesterday. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Mr H and I had a nice quiet day relaxing and then out for an early dinner. Lovely time shared. This week really has slipped away from me. Still not stitching... why escapes me. I guess my mind needs a break from cross stitching. Maybe if I pick up another type of project it will get my hands to work. Speaking of work, work has been busy so I do get home tired. My asthma has been annoying. Of course all the lint at work does not help. Mr H went for tests yesterday to rule out blood clots in his leg...good news, none there. Now tonight for more tests to find the cause for the pain and difficulty walking. If it is not one thing, it must be another. How is it, with all the advances in medical technology, reasons can not be found sometimes....

Yesterday's Secret Valentine was lots of fun. My Valentine was from Wagapapa Creations...all the way from Spain. Cucki received this one from me....

Jo hosted this fun project and is already planning our next adventure. It was nice to meet some new friends.

I finished my SAL hosted by Lee but did not want to push into yesterday's fun...so here it is. I dyed the linen...32ct with beet juice. The stitching was done with DMC 603.




I added a few flowers and used the Honeycomb stitch....but I could not pull the stitches tightly because it left holes. But I like the way the pearl beads look on it.

I edged it with narrow grograin ribbon in a matching pink that I found in my ribbon box. Holding the habger in place is a pearl topped pin. I really like how it turned out.

I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. Mr H bought me some candy and a beautiful card. It doesn't take much to please either of us after all these years. I think it is time to call the doctor as my back is still hurting me to the point of feeling very distracted. Ialso must get my haircut. I am so used to keeping it short, that a little over do is too much. So, it may be a busy day today. Hope you are having a great day. Thank you for visiting with me and welcome to my new friends.
