Keeping busy

 Hello friends, here we are a new month, July. I have been busy finishing and learning. 

The Hawaiian quilt block is complete. The pattern is Anthurium. (The Hawaiian anthurium (commonly called the Heart of Hawaii or Flamingo Flower) symbolizes hospitality, warmth, and welcome. Because of its vibrant colors and heart shape, its English meaning centers on affection, abundance, and the spirit of giving.) 
 It may not be perfect, but I am pleased with it. I already have the next design picked out.

I am almost finished making an 18th century ladies tie pocket. I am making a few modifications. What am I learning you may ask (or not). I decided I want need to learn lace making.  Oh, not with bobbins! At the moment I have learned to make Romanian Cord which is used in lace making.  My plan is to use a simple motif. Also, I am planning to make a Japanese Pojagi window panel for my bathroom and try some Whitework embroidery. Yes, I feel ambitious. I am fortunate to have the luxury of time. The Brother Alan and Lisa have now assumed houses responsibilities. I want less to do so I can stay in my sewing corner. Did I tell you about my corner? That will be for another day. 

Sammy has been, well..... Sammy. Mostly he is a good boy. If only he did not like paper, like toilet paper, napkins and anything that can be shredded.   Loves taking Lisa and Alan's shoes. If we cannot find it we just look under my bed, his hiding place. We will not talk about today's adventure yet.

A good month

 Can you believe but this is the last of August. The days have flown by. Arizona has been in a heat advisory and it does not look to end soon. Monsoon officially ends on September 15th. 

This little guy has kept me on my toes. He investigates gets into everything. Last night it was my craft cart.  Upset because he could not have the roll of toilet paper or the decorations on my tree....Sammy wants everything.
 He had a busy day the past Wednesday.  We, Sammy. Lisa and I, went to the pet store to buy him shoes as he lost one of his socks. He had no problems wearing or walking in the shoes. The guys in the store could not believe how cute he is and took a picture of him wearing his shoes.

Then it was to the vet. Sammy is now 10 pounds of energy. He made friends with all the techs and the doctors. You could hear them laughing and gushing over him. Of course Sammy was only to happy to be held and give kisses.

I do not like pets in the market but we had to stop for dinner items so off to Fry's. He was so well behaved. This is how he rode in the shopping cart....taking it all in. Now before you think all my time is spent loving this pooch....I am busy with other things. 

I am still crocheting the afghan for Natalia. The color is really a smoky lavender and white panels. This  is the first afghan pattern that I ever made. 

Also crocheted a bee and some mice

Not fond of the grey one...might need to find it a new home. Also still with crocheting, I mad a floral wreath.

On my working cart is a fat cat in the works. 

My dear friend Dianna has got me interested in baseball. We watch the Arizona Diamondbacks play from a distance, she at her home and me in mine....texting goes on. We live 10 miles apart (about 25 minute drive). I had stopped watching baseball years ago as I found it too long and boring. Now, the rules of play have changed and I don't mind following it again. Used to be the Yankees! After 20 years here in Arizona it is about time to follow the local teams....Diamondbacks/baseball and Cardinals/football. Guess that covers this past month. Murphy~~~~~

 It has been a few difficult days around here. We noticed this past Saturday that Murphy was not feeling well. On Monday we took him to the vet. They ran  tests. At 9am Tuesday morning the vet called with Murphy's results. I knew by the tone of her voice that it was serious. The test showed that he is Diabetic ketoacidosis... needing immediate treatment.

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in dogs is a serious and life-threatening complication of uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. In some cases, the affected dog had previously been diagnosed with diabetes.  Not the case for us.  However, in many cases, the vet makes the diagnosis of DKA at the same time as the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. 

This is a major, life-threatening illness. In some case the pet might be euthanized. The reasons can vary; from severity of illness to  inability to provide long term at home care and the financial burden.

By 2pm Lisa and I took him to the emergency hospital and he was admitted for intensive care. .His labs were very much off and they began to stabilize him. Before you think we ignored something with him, we did not. Again, symptoms that something was wrong began on Saturday, June 28th. He was not eating, drinking copious amounts of water and had a few incidents of spitting up and lots of urination.  I initially thought he might have a UTI.

Around 4:30 yesterday Murphy began to respond to the IV for fluids but not out of trouble yet. Today he will see a specialist for diabetic care and we should know more.  They will insert an NG tube for nourishment. It was very difficult leaving him there yesterday. I cried all morning and Lisa cried all afternoon. We are all feeling sad. He is our baby...many of you have furbabies and can relate.

Murphy will be 6 years old this August.  To us he is still just a pup.  Please keep him in your thoughts.

Signs of diabetic ketoacidosis include any combination of the following:

•  *Increased urination—the kidneys have to work extra hard to filter excess sugar in the blood, leading to increased urine output.
• *Increased thirst in dogs—what goes out must come in; dogs in DKA have to drink a lot more water to make up for the loss through urine.
• *Weight loss—because the dog can’t properly metabolize glucose, the body breaks down fats and proteins for cellular energy.
• Muscle wasting—altered energy metabolism deprives muscle cells of energy, so muscles can start to deteriorate.
• *Decreased appetite—the electrolyte imbalances and acid base problems caused by DKA can make dogs feel bad and not want to eat.
• Nausea—similarly, the blood chemistry disturbances in DKA can cause nausea.
• *Vomiting—nausea can become severe enough that dogs with DKA may vomit.
• *Depression or being a lethargic dog—without proper glucose metabolism, DKA in dogs can significantly reduce their overall energy.
• Weakness—muscle loss and poor energy can make dogs with DKA very weak.
• *Dehydration—sometimes dogs can’t drink enough water to overcome the extra fluid loss, leading to dehydration.
• Diarrhea—fluctuations in fluids and blood chemical levels can cause soft or watery stool.
• Cataracts in dogs—high blood sugar can lead to excess glucose in the eye fluid. This glucose is metabolized into sorbitol, which draws water into the lens and causes cataracts.
• An enlarged liver—breaking down fat stores for energy causes fatty accumulation in the liver.
• Increased respiratory rate and effort (dog is breathing fast)—dogs breathe more heavily or pant to compensate for altered metabolism and acid base balance.
• Dull mentation—the brain relies on glucose for energy.
• Stupor or coma—in severe cases of DKA, the brain is so deprived of cellular energy it starts to shut down.
• A sweet odor to the breath—some dogs will have a fruity odor to their breath that is from the buildup of acetone—one of the types of ketones—in their bodies.
•  
• Symptoms with the * are what Murphy exhibited. 

Another month ...

 It seems that time is getting misplaced around here. My intentions to do this and that get lost. Since our last visit, I have been having physical therapy for my right knee. I had a fall and landed right smack dab on the knee. I am almost finished with PT and it has helped, but, with the arthritis it is not going to get much better. The goal for 2025 is not falls. This last one was because I tripped over the vacuum cord. My carelessness. anyway, if you really know me, I keep busy. One of my favorite designers is Ann Wood. I buy her patterns and enjoy the free ones. Recently she began a "circus" set and now finally for sale. You know I had to make the elephant...

Love, love it. She will release the others; a monkey a lion and a cat periodically. Oh sign me up! I added a pipe cleaner to the trunk so I could bend it up. Maybe another Elephant will appear.

My felt Christmas tree is "redecorated" for the holiday. It is a tree that is always in my room and holds many handmade items.  I made the tree some years ago from a pattern by Donna Bayless. Another wonderful designer.

This year, I added decorations on top of my curio. I will add pictures of our tree and mantel and kitchen tree soon.   Our shopping is really complete and I have just 3 packages to mail this week.

77 Sunset Strip

 Hello my friends... who remembers is old enough to remember  77 Sunset Strip TV series...okay, I do and I just celebrated my 77th birthday. My celebration started on the day...the 3rd with breakfast out with Dianna, lunch out with Lisa on the 4th and ended last night with dinner out with The Brother Alan and Lisa.  Guess I will stop humming the theme song now. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Cousin Maria send a videocard of Donny Osmand signing to me! Lovely gifts received and cards..... totally feel special. 

I wanted a Fairy setting...for Christmas, The Brother Alan and Lisa gave me the house with the blue arrow and it had a couple of fairies with it,,,for my birthday they gave me the yellow arrow set up that had 14 items,,,I made the back round from collected twigs. I love it. At night it has fairy lights which looks magical.

My sis Lyn sent me this lovely scented candle with Happy Birthday charms that revolve when the candle is lit. A nice soft fragrance.

Dianna brought me these

mushrooms...One glass and the other with a tufted top.... love mushrooms. She also bought a birthday cake and a candle!

Dear Debbie and hubby sent me this beautiful anklet.  The meaning is so lovely. I have not taken it off since it arrived, I have the words posted at my sewing table so I can read them often. All in all, I had a very nice birthday...

The Tiny Dog Adoption went well. One pup is going to Germany, one to Texas, one to Wisconsin. Two are off to Rhode Island and 2 are staying here in Arizona with one going to Lynda Ruth in Canada. These are the last if anyone is interested.

We are expecting a rain storm for the next 3 or 4 days. Happily I can remain indoors and work at my sewing table. It is always nice to chat with you. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for your friendship.

Beginning to look like Christmas....

 First I want to thank all of you that sent special thoughts to my great-nephew, Antonio. He is out of hospital and holding his own. Still has a way to go, but keeping good thoughts that he will continue to improve.

Every year I try to make a new ornament... for me and to give away. This year it is a star.... a take-off of Ann Wood's Jingle Star. I have added a tag that has room for a name and says, "My star in heaven"...that is the mine for my tree in the center. There is one with a name already on it that will be traveling to... my aunt Rose Marie for uncle Tony. That leaves 2 that will need a home. I have also started another quilt.... one that will be sewn by hand whenever I pick it up...

Squares and rectangles. I am using whatever scrap fabrics from my bin...no selecting just using. Same will be for when i start sewing them together.  that will be as soon as I decide on the layout.

Our sweet Murphy...2 weeks ago at 5am I noticed that his eyes were completely clouded over! He was not having trouble maneuvering around inside or outside. Did not seem to be hurting. I called the vet and Lisa and I took him in. Blood work drawn.... eyes examined. She ruled out glaucoma...a relief. Medication for his eyes and then wait for results. Valley Fever ruled out and the conclusion is that he has high cholesterol. Do not bother to ask how...the answer is that it is my fault. I give him almost everything. Now he is on a diet...prescribed kibble. No more home cooked food. He still gets veggies. Now, back to the eyes. From day one we saw an immediate improvement and by day 4 the eyes were clear! Back to his handsome self. He will return to the vet in a month. I will be on my best behavior. This past few weeks I have not been feeling well...a cold....my diagnosis. Alan and Lisa completely decorated the living room and kitchen trees. Wreaths are hung outside...thank you Alan. Still deciding on some decorations then the mess I made will get cleaned. Normally I would put away as I empty a bin...not allowed to climb....which is good because on Saturday while home alone, I did use the ladder in the garage and somehow missed the last one or two steps....of course we did not tell Alan. Luckily I did not break anything but have a nasty scrape on my elbow. When will I learn! Glad to chat with you but I must get a move on with the mess around here. A very busy month

 This month has been full of busy and creative times. Leading up to Lisa's heart surgery, there were tests and tests and more tests. . Surgery was Wednesday (7/26) . After 5 hours in the OR she was sent to ICU where she still is. Of course she is being closely monitored and the staff is very attentive and very kind.  at least once  a day she takes a "lap" around the nurses station and sits in a chair part of the day. All in all, she is doing well. Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement.

Lisa's mom Carol will be visiting soon and while here we will celebrate her birthday...so, I decided to wrap her gifts differently...Korean fabric wrapping called Bojagi. Much like origami. I used a lovely piece of Batik.

Minature Granny square piece....size 20 tatting thread and a 0.05 hook...small, very small. Of the many hooks that I have I did not have this size...so I bought a set of small hooks

Why you may be asking am I doing this? I saw a YouTube video on miniatures and well, .... I am not new to such tiny crochet. I learned to crochet as an eight year old and back then you learned to crochet around handkerchiefs. I have also make doilies with larger thread and hook. Somewhere in the mist of my hanging handkerchiefs, there are a couple that I crocheted around.

My new roommate...a Twin-tail Half-moon Beta. He has no name yet. Hank....well one morning he was happily swimming and later that afternoon he was floating. that's a goldfish for ya.

That about wraps it up around here. You may have heard we in Arizona are in an excessive heat warning. The temps have been 115 and higher. I as well as Murphy are staying indoors. Happy 4th of July from Sue

 

Sue was going to make her entrance on July 1st...but sometimes other happenings interrupt. I love adding texture to these banners. Living in a 55+ community, we do not have the direct noise of fireworks. There are displays nearby but we do not hear them so Murphy is not bothered. Of course today the landscapers are here and he is not fond of the noise they make or them for that matter.

We are in heat advisory... the temperatures have been in the mid triple digits..... 116 yesterday and the overnights in the 80-90 range. Thank goodness for air conditioning. We do have a misting fan for outside which does cool you a bit.

I made the Pod Bag.... love it...but I did make changes to the pattern to my preference. It hangs on my bed post and is used for my pajamas. I made a tuck in the front and added a yo yo flower. Next I will make the smaller size.

One of my favorite sports has started and will be on all month, Tour de France. Yes, I do wake up early...between 3 and 4am.... to watch. This year I had to add Peacock TV to be able to watch it. It seems that so many programs are now on one of the pay stations. Also now on is Wimbledon...I love that too. They have had pouring rain so a few have been postponed.

Just look at last night's full moon. This is the actual color..no touch ups!

It is called the Buck Moon because this is the time of year that antlers start to appear on male deer/bucks. It will be visible for 3 days. A little blurred...did not use my tripod. As it happens it is also referred to as a super moon.

An update on Lisa. She is still having tests. Surgery is definite but no date yet. Please keep her in your thoughts.

There is a business on my fan

 Hello friends..... seems the days are here and gone quickly. Today I feel a sore throat and stuffy so it will be an easy day. Who am I kidding? Most of my days are easy and laid back thanks to Alan and Lisa. Speaking of Lisa, she is still having tests and I am sure her surgery will be next. So keep her in your thoughts.

Flies are flying in my room! As the ceiling fan rotates, the flies move about. The pattern is from Ann Wood...darn her for making so many wonderful and fun patterns.  Did you know the term for a group of flies is called a swarm...or...a business! Each fly is different of course.....I love quirky things. Just have to keep an eye on Alan with his salt rifle!

I found this pattern...can not remember where on line....and I was overwhelmed when it arrived.

It said a booklet which was only a single paper printed on both sides with minute directions. First I enlarged them to 200% and finally to 300%. All I can say is good thing I am am able to sew well.  No!)

He already is full of my sewing notions for everyday use. He is made from different parts of jeans that I saved from Dennis. I even included a few tags from the pants.  The inside bottom is a fabric I had with turtles. It has 6 pockets and I added one of the small pockets to hold my small scissors. The tail is a belt loop! Denny liked turtles...I do have a story about Denny and his turtle...another time if anyone is interested. 

Cox cable seems to be mixed up today...maybe a call to them...then again not today. Alan will be home late tonight so I will wait for him to check it out on a regular work day. I have music playing most of the day and if TV it is one of a few stations that I like....Britbox, Acorn, Amazon Prime and Freevee to name a few.
Today maybe be the start of July Sue banner...right now swishing and fluffing is happening in the laundry area. 

On a sad note, my friend Glenda has lost her fight with cancer on Sunday June 4th. She never gave up. Thoughts for husband Don ....

Go fly a kite!

 March has arrived....cloudy with rain storm expected and no wind...yet. When I was a little girl, my sescond grade teacher ( a sister of Mercy at St. Mary's) taught ways to remember various things. Like the months have a subject. January snow, February hearts, March winds, etc. Here is my March banner for my bedroom door. Another hand stitched project. My plan is to make a Sun Bonnet Sue for each month.

She has shamrocks growing at her feet...also for March, St. Patrick's Day. Did you know that he really was not a saint and that his name was not Patrick? I watched the Curious Traveler and she was talking about it on the trip to Ireland.

 I realized that I had not posted my February Sue. She was part of a blog hop that I joined and it would have possibly tipped off the recipient who made it.

 I enjoy applique projects.  Next is to finish my Shabby Rose quilt with a flange binding. Fabric is sitting in the basket waiting to be cut into strips. then on with the washing and drying to help the fraying.

Lisa and I went to our quilt shop and the mustard print is for the quilt the other for upcoming banners.

Here is another upcoming project, an applique table mat. Tea Pots.... The pictures were taken from my phone....so excuse the quality in the transport to the computer. Better pictures once I start the projects. Seems they do not copy well. Of course it very well could be my tech expertise! I must get back to more frequent blog posting. Super Bowl Weekend

 Today is starting out with a very cloudy sky and although the temp is around 63 heading toward 73, without the sun it is a little chilly. I know some of you have cold and snow, I should not even comment. there is a chance of rain for tomorrow...Super Bowl  with KC Chiefs  and the Philadelphia Eagles. I will be cheering KC. There will be a Navy fly-over and it will be 5 all women pilots.

Just outside my sewing corner window is a hummer feeder. It is so nice to look out and find one visiting. (the picture is taken through sheer curtain). Sometimes other feathered friends stop by. I have finally started to connect my quilt squares...

and it has already started to fray. Not the flowers yet just the seams. I am still thinking about borders or not...edging.... you know if you quilt that it takes thought and planning to finish projects. Now do not be misled, I am not a quilter really, but I do know how to quilt. I am finding that I am enjoying this change of projects very much. I love hand sewing. The squares are hand sewn but the seams are by machine. Special thanks to all of you who send cards and emails and Facebook wishes for my birthday.  Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. On February 9th, Alan and Lisa celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary....how times flies!

My Day

 Goodness, time seems to have slipped away from me. While I have been among the missing, I managed to finish the flower quilt squares. I finally found the fabric for the backing squares and now to cut them as well as the flannel that will be in between front and back fabrics instead of batting, Update on Hank...he has adjusted well to living alone. He started with waking around 4am and spitting the pebbles in the bowl against the glass which makes a pin sound and of course wakes me. He is quiet during the day and hopefully will start to be quiet at night.

Yesterday was My Day...my birthday. The new number is 76... I know, sounds strange for me to say it.  The other afternoon I sat and thought about all that has been during these years. Some sad, some uncomfortable to mention. There have been many more wonderful days thanks to Dennis. This year will mark 6 years.... another number. I received some lovely cards and birthday wishes and candy and flowers and a delicious edible arrangement and out for lunch with Dianna and Bobby. Alan and Lisa and I are going out for dinner on Monday evening. All in all it has been a lovely celebration. So nice to feel loved. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. A new start

 Happy New Year my dear friends. I have never been so happy to kick the old year to the curb. It really had been a difficult year. There was a personal issue to deal with and once I admitted that I was not responsible or in control of, well it was much better. Not easier but better and filed away. Then I guess I should mention the medical stuff****. This year will be different. No running in the garden with Murphy...that injury was the only one I could have prevented. I contributed to many doctors/surgeons bank accounts  in 2022. I need to set limits for myself.

I ended 2022 with this sweet mamma doll and her baby. Lisa calls her Kim. The baby sling is Velcro so it can be removed. Then I started this year with

this quilt called French Roses but I call it Shabby Roses. I fell in love with the jewel tones in this Moda line and am using all 5 fabrics. Before you ask, yes I am stitching it all by hand. 

We had a wonderful gift filled Christmas and Murphy enjoyed tearing all the paper he could grab.  One of my favorite gifts is

Alan and Lisa wanted to get me something for my sewing and suggested a new table. I love this table! It is Sullivan's Quilt Design Table. It closes up to a nice size and fits perfectly in my sewing corner. Of course It has only been closed a few times since getting it...it has been helping me with my projects.

Christmas is still on display here but will slowly over the next week begin to disappear to the garage. I hope you all had a good holiday. I wish for all a healthy and peaceful 2023. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. Thank you for your friendship.

 Oh I am so proud to show you my great-great niece!

Meet Alanni Lee (not including her last name). Just look at that beautiful face. My great-nephew Joey and Heaven (parents) are so happy. Such a cute snuggle bug! They live back East so I enjoy every picture I see.

Speaking of pictures.... I saw the surgeon on Tuesday and the x-rays looked good.

The one on the right is straight on to back and the other a side view.  I think I stood a bit crooked! As long as the screws are in place. I was a little disappointed to be told 6 more weeks of restrictions; no bending, stretching, twisting or lifting. As the doc said, you have come this far let's make sure it heals good. I walk and I make sure not to sit too long. I am actually following orders. My hexagon quilt is coming along. Don't think it will be too long before it is finished. Then onto the next project. Before you ask, I do not have a plan yet.

I ordered a new Christmas tree...last one is 6 years old and now needs a new home. This tree has a 7 function light switch. Need I tell you that The Brother Alan has played with it already...yes it is up. Lisa and I thought why drag it to the garage when we will need it in a little over a week. Decorations are still stored until Alan gets them down. Had a busy morning so now I need to relax. Leg and back are sore. Happy to have you visit. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. There is an elf in the house

 November..... one of my favorite months. Growing up in Rhode Island it meant the color changes on all the trees...acorns everywhere and the wait for Thanksgiving. Dennis and I loved this holiday best. Why? Well it was for gathering and sharing without expectation of gifts. We were the gifts to one another. This year we are having a guest, Patrick. The planning has started and today will put pen to paper for the list of have and to get. 

Our main bathroom reconstruction began yesterday. The plumber is next to connect the toilet and clear the sink drain. Freshly painted walls have brightened it up. Lisa chose the wall color...a soft grey and she decided on teal towels and rug..... pretty. Once the plumber is finished all the shelves and accessories will be back in place. Recently I bought 2 Christmas theme patterns for sewing. One of them was a little incomplete.

But I can and did take care of the problem. I feel for any inexperienced with sewing. The issue was there was no template for the arms. I read and looked at the pages of the printed pattern and no where could I find it. Soooo, I messaged the seller on Etsy. Her reply was that she no longer had the pattern and could not look but that sometimes the designer puts it in somewhere. Okay. simple solution was to measure his jacket and make my own template. Very simple and even though I knew that was what I would do, I thought if I was missing it I would like to have it pointed out to me. Anywho, he is complete and cute. The rest of the pattern is a sleigh on a pillow that he can sit in...maybe I will make it. Of course I have been working on the hexagon quilt.... soon to be completed.  Can you read Chinese? No...well the title says Not in China......

These are my new tools/gadgets. Malltoon Quilted Hexagons Templates. I ordered from this Chinese company because they sold different sizes. (Missouri Quilting offers only one size.) Anyway, I had been checking the tracking number and as of yesterday it said it is awaiting USPS partner for pickup! As you can see they have arrived. They range from 3 1/2", 5 1/2 " and the largest is 7" ..the finished sizes.

The sure make hexagons easy. This will be my next quilt...all centers will be floral only with occasional solid colors scattered around. The size will be a small throw... maybe crib size. I think I will be using the middle size which finishes at 5 1/2 inches. As with the Cathedral Quilt there will be no batting. You should feel how heavy that quilt is! This will be a throw for the living room.

So, you are asking what about the Cathedral Quilt...

Today I will be finished with the edging triangles. Then on to the binding. Yes, I could have used finished edge triangles, but I wanted the edge to be sturdy. This is going on my bed. And it also will be hand sewn on....I know it would be quicker and easier to use the Singe, but I want it to be completely hand sewn. I am so happy with the outcome with this project. Dianna's is almost finished then we will take a picture. 

On Friday I saw the Cardiologist...the glue is working so no further treatment at this time. Now onto the disc surgery...October 3rd. I will be starting the pre-op testing soon..... again. I did this all in May for the heel surgery.  With luck, and if I can stay out of harms way, this will be all for me. Thankful for Alan and Lisa helping me through all this.  Time to get back to my sewing.... well first I have a banana bread to make. Alan and Lisa's friend is visiting later today...Patrick loves my banana bread. Good chatting with you. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Thank you for your friendship. I am so lucky!

Progress

 Our monsoon season has gotten a good start. Last night Lisa and Alan sat out on the porch watching the lightening show. We have had some rain, hopefully more soon to come. When I was living on the East Coast and it would rain, it was oh no. Living here in Arizona and it rains it is yeah...more. Such a difference.

Oh why not another added

"thing" for me...a boot to sleep in! This is to continue to stretch the heel. The surgery itself is almost heeled. I still cannot sleep the entire night in it as it hurts the heel. Imagine if you can, A sling on the right arm....a boot on the right foot.... I am the walking wounded! I am looking forward to the days of no soreness and the ability to do more.

The life of Murphy.... his spot on my our bed. If I can stay long enough from injuries and surgery, I will have Michelle the trainer return to work on a few things. Murphy has taken advantage of my limits.

My quilt is growing fast. Just 2 more rows for the width then it will be adding for length. I am so enjoying this project. I am thankful for the fabric sent to me and so far everyone is represented and it is repeat time for the windows of received and stash pieces. When I look at this quilt I smile and feel the friendship sewn in. Dianna and I continue our weekly sewing session. We sew...have lunch ... then sew again. We have known each other for almost 15 years! 

The House Faerie has not arrived so I guess I will be doing the swishing and fluffing. So nice to chat with you....thank you for your kind words. Thank you for your friendship.
