Easter Treasure Blog Hop

Once again Jo, has organized a blog hop. We each post a photo and a letter and a link....
here is my door knob hanging bunny. This is a pattern that I have had for many years....a gift from my great-nephew Nico when he was just a small boy.
I sewed with the seams out and pinked them and added the ear liner and foot pads. I think I like it best this way. My letter is "C". Now, follow this link to Rosey175 for the next clue/letter and be sure to go to Jo's to see all the other posts and letters to see what the phrase is. Thank you Jo for once again hosting a fun activity.
Happy Easter to all.....

The air that I breathe...

The weather yesterday was "cooler" than the previous week, we dropped to the 70s! Then the rain fell for a minute or two later in the day. The sun popped out in time for sunset at 7pm. Here we are today and it is bright and sunny and should be in the 80s. Perfect to sit outside which I hope to do. I did a post office run to get a package out as soon as it opened at 9am. Of course I had another small box to mail but forgot it home.
Unexpectedly yesterday I had my house Spring cleaned…. all the air ducts, ceiling fans, both bathroom exhaust fans, the AC duct and my dryer vent. All areas were vacuumed and then washed and sanitized. It  happened as I was out and about the community walking and Sue and Roy were having theirs done. The company owner came over and showed me just one of my vent areas and I said yes. Dennis always removed and washed the vent covers and reached in and cleaned...as  best he  could. It was unbelievable what was removed from my ductwork! The air that I will breathe will certainly be healthier.
The only bird willing to put up with the noise was Woody...he enjoyed the nectar all by himself. The garden was also quiet.... the Dove still sitting on the nest. The bunny left as soon as work started.
Of course with all this being done, I sat back and read as it was noisy with the heavy duty vac going strong. Today will be a good day to relax outside with a large iced water. Still waiting on the MRI and will call them by week end to follow up. I am still having difficulty and until I have this done, treatment is on hold.
I am in need of another cup of coffee and breakfast so off I go. So glad to chat with you today. Thank you for your kind words and friendship.

Busy morning....

I watched the Boston Marathon as I have done for many years before leaving New England. I am always in awe of these athletes … I can barely run across the street! The weather was perfect for them. Here the sun is bright and it is warm and doors are open.... at least until it gets too warm then the fans will be on.
The electrician came this morning.
He installed the security light outside my garage. I will need to check the light angles once it is nightfall. Then I will clean and paint the area from the previous light. When he removed the old light, out scurried a gecko.
Can you spot him? He ran to hide behind the downspout. Not sure where he will be living now.... but most likely will move into the garden where they all come to live.
Yesterday I saw a video on how to bead a round peyote pendant. Why not five it a try, something new. Door bell is ringing...be back asap.
How many people does it take to install a trash can liner? Me to ring Ethel's doorbell to ask to use an electrical outlet, Mark to grind the old rim, Dave to insert the liner, of course I did supervise and then Robyn to carry the hammer back home with Dave.
Was not as difficult as I thought...small; the size of a quarter. Do not pay attention to the colors this was just a learning piece. I would love to learn new projects to bead. Lots of gals have done tape measure covers and such...they look so nice. I like a challenge.
My question to beaders out there...do you need to use a plastic ring in the center?! I will post to one of the bead sites and ask. I will definitely make another but larger.
The temps is already rising (almost noon and 84) so the doors will close and fans on. I am determined to not turn on the AC yet.
Vicki and her husband stopped by the other day to pick up my craft donation to her daughter's school and we took a picture. Stop over to Vicki's blog and see it!
There was swishing and fluffing in the laundry area.... not it will be folding time. Off I go....
Glad to chat with you today. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.
