Early morning busy

Ahhh, I am off work for the next 2 days and have plans to create! Have you heard of Red Panda Beads? It is a great on-line bead store. The owner and all around gal is Betsy who personalizes all correspondence. She offers discounts for you birthday, back order merchandise and who knows what else!  She includes  a little freebie with each order.... could be angel charms, beads to make an angel or like my latest order, glass heart charms. There are emails frequently to let you know of what is new and free patterns too. Prompt service has always been my experience. This is a non-solicited endorsement..... just my opinion and wanting to share information. My recent order was this....
and I made them both early this morning. The pattern also includes directions for a cuff style bracelet. I can't wait to make a few more in many colors. I think I have enough beads left to make a combination of these two to make a third one. I can see these as quick gifts...tht is definitely a thought. I have a dentist appointment for a cleaning..oh my, in half an hour! I best say have a good day and get myself ready...Have a good day!

Electric Blue

Oh what a cloudy day we have here in The Valley of the Sun. I don't really mind as long as it does not rain. Our HOA paving project has begun this morning. It was too much for me to hope it would go along without a hitch.... had to locate the owner of one car and remind the owner of another car to move to street parking. On Monday afternoon, Mr H and I took a ride to the Glendale Public Library. They have a Xeriscape Garden that we enjoy visiting. While there the Peacocks were mighty noisy...well, they are looking for mates after all. There had to be at least a dozen or more male and females lounging about....

This fellow was very obliging for a photo op. He glowed in the afternoon light and was only too eager to display his plumage for me...well, not exactly for me...there were many Peahens about who really did not seem to notice him and the other males. He even showed me his back side which was quite pretty. All in all it was a lovely time spent in the garden. Off to work today.... finally down to a 3 day work week this and next week. Did I mention some beads arrived in the mail yesterday?...Glad to have you visit with me today. Thank you for the kind words which warm my soul. Have a great day. Did I tell you about the beads...?

Love to get mail

The rain stopped yesterday with the total about 1 inch. Everything is still quite wet and because of the strong winds, all sorts of tree debris is covering the ground. Our HOA paving project was to have started today, but cancelled until tomorrow....if it all dries out. Oh the mail....first let me tell you that Mr H was not a good hubby! The mail delivery from Saturday was not put where I would notice it  when I got in from a very busy Jo Ann's work day. Sunday morning I saw a white envelope.... then I saw the postmark...New Zealand...
I had won the Valentine's Day drawing from Lee, Other side of the Mountain..... is this not the most lovely gift set you have seen?  To have it in hand shows the real beauty of her stitching and finishing. In her note to me she hoped I would not just look at it, but use it. There is no way it will sit on a shelf.
Elegant hardly begins to describe her work. I am so lucky that Caitlin picked my name. Thank you Lee for sharing your talents. The set includes a scissor fob, a floss ring, a pinkeep, one of Lee's new clips and a tape measure. Of course she also made the card. My work kit will be the most elegant in my crowd!
Sorry to show off...well, I can't help it...but I am happy you had some time to stop by and chat. Hope you have a wonderful day.....

Rain, rain....

Finally we had some rain. As a matter of fact, it rained Friday night throughout Saturday. We also had high winds during Friday night which did some damage to Mr H's tomato garden. At times it actually poured and there was minor street flooding.  Now this is big time here in he Valley. December was the last time we had any amount of rain. Most of the time it evaporates before hitting the ground. Remember the book Esther thought I should buy....well I did....
then she pointed out the bottom notation...Advanced Designs..."oh you can do it" we shall see..... it has some lovely motifs and I did find one I would like to start. Next Sunday our Tat and Chat meets and I will consult with The Debra about my choice. One of the selling points of this book is that it has a spiral spine which allows it to open flat. Always a good way to follow a pattern.
Just to show you that I have been working on Alphabet Doll # 2....
Each of the flowers on her dress will have a pearl seed bead and she carries a purse in her left hand...you know how that will be worked I bet. There is one more in this pattern and I hope to make that also. Such ambition I have! There is never enough time in my day or my week for that matter. I want to try everything. Now that in itself is not too bad. The problem is that I want to do it all now. "Slow down, you move too fast". Well, now, it certainly has been nice to chat with you. Your kind words always bring a smile to my heart. Thank you. Wishing you a wonderful day.
