I did it

I know, we should not be a bragger....should not boast about what we did. When one of my managers gave me a copy from a 1917 Needlecraft magazine with tatted medallions and edgings, I decided that I had to make this particular motif.......

I took me a few tries but I did it! The directions are written for someone who knows what they are doing...not very explicit, and the photo not the greatest. So, I wrote it out, enlarged the photo and went from there. I no longer feel like a novice. I have not washed trimmed or starched it yet, but it looks pretty nice. I can't wait to show it to my MOD Joyce today. So today I will pat myself on the back and look to make it again. Yes again, that way it will reinforce what I did and I can re-write my directions better.
Our sky is so overcast this morning....but the air is so clear.  I have work for the next two days then I plan to re-organize the garage. Sounds crazy, but once a year I take apart the garage storage areas and cupboards and re-organize them and clean up. Mr H has a habit of using and doing but not putting things back orderly. It is the time to toss out things too. This weekend is the Barret Jackson Car Auction and the Home Show... we are trying to decide which to attend. A week, really?

I have lost this past week------if you find my week please return it to me at once! Where have I been? Time flies when you are having fun......did I have fun? No idea at all. I can tell you that I have been stitching. That I finished a pincushion exchange to soon be mailed and that I ordered something new on line. I thought I would not get any new projects, (but I could not resist), I am making the Dream Catcher for my give away and started a tatted motif from a 1916 magazine. So, I guess I have been doing something.
 I know that compared to the rest of the country Arizona is not cold; but it has been a bit chilly for us lately. I actually had to put on a pair of socks today! I haven't mentioned our tomato plants lately...but we are enjoying them daily. The pepper plant seems to not be doing anything. This chilly weather is not helping I think. Today Mr H has a dentist appointment and then one with his pain management doctor....me? I plan to try to master this tatted motif. I am on my second attempt. All was going well until I made a mistake and when I went to correct it, well, never the mind, I just started over. Time to put the laundry in the dryer and get back to tatting.....glad you stopped by today. Is it me or is Blogger having issues today?
