The Mystery Gift and sore leg

Just a quick post. Yesterday was my first Endovenous Laser Therapy or EVLT.

Very glad I took the medication first so that I would not stress the several needles. The procedure itself was not bad but.......I hardly slept last night. I was told to take 800mg of Ibuprofen twice each day for discomfort and swelling. Of course I thought I had plenty of Ibuprofen...not so. There was only enough for yesterday afternoon and last night and not the full dosage. If you are saying oh no...I really said more than that. I hardly slept due to the aching and as you can see it is quite swollen and already getting pretty mottled purple shades. I did go out to CVS and now have enough Ibuprofen! Glenda drove me for the appointment and made the next 2 appointments...yes 2 more. Later today the bandages are to be removed but the stocking to remain 24/7 until Saturday then only during the day.
The door bell just rang.....and USPS brought me a big box...

I opened the first box with the #80 then there was the next box with the label and finally the smaller box.

A lovely indoor fountain...there is absolutely no card, name or any other information as to who sent it. My birthday is tomorrow so we can guess it is a birthday gift...but who sent this ? ! ?
In the meantime, I will be sure to follow the doctor's  instructions to take 2 30 minute walks daily, ice and plenty of fluids. Right now I am hungry so time to eat.

New treasures ....

Did you go outside this morning to watch the moon?

Starting with the large picture which was taken at 6:05 AM and going from top right down and around, the pictures ended at 6:39 AM. Where the moon was after that was an area of too much light for me to capture the red moon. It really was nippy standing out there in jammies. Came right in and had my hot coffee.
Yesterday Glenda and I were out and about and I found this adorable chair

It is about 18 inches tall and the seat is about 9 inches wide. Who will sit in it? That is the question not answered ...yet. We enjoyed stopping here and there and I bought a replacement for the red umbrella with this one...

Royal Blue. The House Finches better not decide to line their nests with strings from it! Just happened that the disco ball sent parkles up under it.

I found this for the garden ....a bell in the sphere that has a gentle sound when it rings. Eye candy for the garden! About the garden, the Doves have not returned.....not sure why or where they have moved. I will leave the egg in the planter and just wait and see. I already miss the cooing in the morning and evening.
The washer has stopped swishing so I better get the laundry hung to dry. The house needs picking up so ciao for now. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

This also came home with me...a glass bubble. This is considered the large size with one a little smaller. It is about 6 inches wide...and for now the bright orange flower sits inside with sphagnum moss. I think a bright yellow or pink might look nice. I do not usually keep any of the artificial flowers from year to year. They are used outside and get pretty soiled and occasionally picked at by the birds. I will be o the lookout for something to put into the bubble.
Today will be a quiet day...no excursions. The temp is once again going to be in the low 80s so it will be nice to sit out in the garden and read and tat. I think I should tat a heart for February.

Oh that wind!

In the very early morning hours I was awaken with the sounds of something blowing around the garden.....sounds of things banging. I did not go and check but did wonder what was happening in the garden that I carefully cleaned the day before. Yesterday Glenda and I enjoyed tea in the garden which was fairly clean until the winds tossed about a plant tray, the small trash container and leaves from trees that I do not have. This morning it is still a little windy. Once I have my coffee and toast I will clean up the mess.

Finished my gold bead snowflake...Vivienne from Jennifer Williams book. (She names each of her patterns.) A little fiddly but pretty once done. I am trying to decide which to make next. A good pattern book for sure.

This what the moon looked like yesterday morning...almost at it's full glory. Beautiful against the morning blue sky. I hope the skies remain clear for the full moon on Wednesday evening.
There is still only the one egg in the wall planter and no signs of the Dove couple these last two days....very irresponsible If you ask me. They probably can no t remember that they are building two abodes and where they are!
The sounds of the fresh brewed coffee tell me it is ready for me so I must dash off. So nice to visit with you here at my place. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

Sunday update.....

As I sit here drinking my first cup of coffee I wonder what my day will be like. One thing for sure, there will be no garden work!

This is where one of 2 very large Fountain Grass have been cut back and the Firecracker bush secured. It has grown so big, at least 8 feet tall. I am not ready to trim it back yet. The birds are enjoying the berries. The sun shines brightly off the disco ball.... "Parkles" everywhere now without the grass so tall.

The Snail vine has been trimmed as it was really sending lots of vine toward the house. Now I do not feel strangled when I pass by. Walking under the arbor is another thing. Here  the second grass has been cut back and I found the Penstemon is actually growing well.
I picked 5 cherry tomatoes for my salad and 4 beans...not much but enough for me without wasting them. My hands and arms are feeling better. I had trouble holding the shuttle for tatting! and wrapping the thread around my left hand with all the little cuts was near impossible. So, I decided to work on my Shutterfly book. Well, I discovered that I am working on the wrong set up...they will think I am very incompetent when I call for help. By the time I finish this book I should be a wiz. Thankfully I have Dianna to guide me and get me back on track maybe averting a call to Shutterfly.
The weather is predicted to return to the 70s and maybe hit 80 today. Doors will be open and sitting outside is a maybe. First a laundry should do the swish thing and a few chores around the house need attention. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. Thank you for your friendship.
