Hello my dear friends. Just having a couple of issues and concerns. Needed a break so now I am ready to rejoin.
Alan has resettled home. Two weeks was a long time to be away. How about a few pictures?
The view as he was landing in Anchorage. He left Arizona temperatures of 100 and landed in high 50s.
Many rainy days in Anchorage. These two were dressed in plastic from head to toe.
The view of the main street from the Hilton...Alan's room. There was a string of fur stores along the street, side by side.
This is a display of Ulu knives. Look mighty menacing. An ulu is an all purpose knife used by the Inuit, Yupik and Aleut women. From cleaning and skinning animals to cutting hair, or for food, even used sometimes in building igloos. (info from Wikipedia)One of dinners out...Shrimp Ceviche. Alan managed to find Mexican food also.
Alan brought back a couple of gifts for Lisa and me. This beautiful Eskimo doll with soft fur.
This lovely sea otter because I love the critters! This is carved from whale bone. did you know that otters sleep floating on their backs holding hands?
Just look at these beautiful fur slippers. They are for Lisa who always has cold feet. Not anymore! Before you ask, yes...Murphy is very interested in them!!!Alan found the area beautiful and the people very nice. A visit but not to live there. I think he is already very used to not having snow and lots of rain and cold!
Lisa and I have been slowly returning to the sewing/craft table. Soon to show a few of our handy work. We are currently in a heat advisory condition. The temps have been 110 upwards to 117 with more to come. I venture out for errands and right back to the air conditioning. Sorry for the absence and non crafting post. Thank you for stopping by. Thank you for your kind words and friendship.
Oh....wait until I tell you about the hedgehog!
