Is it really Thursday

I have been stitching and stitching.... but they have been my exchange pieces. I plan to complete them this coming week and get them ready to mail. I have also worked more on the embroidery but did not take a picture. I have met a new blogger.. Sandi who is a fellow Arizonan. We are planning to get together for lunch ... if there are any other Arizonans who would like to join us leave a comment on this post or email me and  as soon as we set it up I will notify you. Anyway, Sandi is hosting a new exchange...stop by and check it out. Sounds like fun. Not that I need another project, but I will be joining her ... how about you?
I also came across a new to me designer...I have it listed on my right sidebar .. Beehive Needleworks...sweet designs and I have made my list for the next Attic shopping time.
Well, that is about it for now. We have another Cardio appointment today for Mr H. and then maybe the surgery date will happen.
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me..... hope your day is a good one. Now off to see what has Zoe barking.......

I'm having such a good time~~~~

Have you used Google today? If not -- be sure to do so. Today is Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday. Song is a nice way to start the day!

Where to begin~~~~ well how about the rabbit hole....
This is only one of at least 3 that lead into the rabbit's abode. They live here at the entrance to our courtyard

under this enormous Rosemary bush. The above entrance is along the left of this bush. I love the fragrance each time it is touched. Sometimes Zoe sniffs it then she smells like Rosemary for a bit! We have so many rabbits in our community and this year there seemed to be lots of bunnies born. They like to eat Lantana and we all have it planted so they have a feast.

Here is the embroidery so far...

It is Huswif Needlecase by Kaaren. I am stitching in DMC 3031 and it is resting on the backing fabric. I forgot just how much I enjoy doing embroidery. I learned when I was around 10 years old. We had a wonderful playground in our neighborhood and everyday we would do "girl" crafts.... the boys played games. My sis Lyn and I went everyday once school was out and right up until school re-opened. Wonderful times.
Anyway, I am enjoying this project as I continue to work on my exchange piece which is almost ready for finishing.
There is a give away at Deborah's place so be sure to check it out. I am soon approaching my 1st year blogging... I can hardly believe it has already been a year. I will of course be having a giveaway.... so watch for the posting. In the meantime ... so glad you stopped by today. Have a great day.

I love my humbug~~~

This is one of the prettiest humbugs ......
Just Nan
Summer Wings  on 28 ct Blue Dynasty Cashel linen and DMC colors as listed

The colors are just so nice. There is a butterfly on each of the 3 sides ...... and the back .....
the beads and the simple outline are just perfect ....... and then ....
the counting pin that came with the pattern is really a perfect touch. I usually make counting pins to add to cushions, but who would when you can put this one in!
I never posted the finish for .....

BBD Summer Iris. It is sitting on the backing fabric.

I really must thank all of you who sent good wishes and thought to Mr H and myself. He is feeling much better. This was our first experience of it's kind and the hospital staff were just great. With Mr H not feeling well, I have discovered that I need a list of what to take care of around here! I forgot to water the garden and check the pond and almost forgot to feed the dog! I admit she could stand to loose a few pounds ... but really!
Today I will work on my exchange piece and maybe my embroidery too. I m craving fried rice....I know it is only morning.....and yes there are a few things that I cook ..... so I think I will steam the rice for later use and pour some iced tea......
thank you for visiting with me and the kind words and thoughts..... have a great day....
