Oh what a beautiful morning

It's going to be a beautiful day.... sun shining front door open and a lunch date with Vickie who has this thing about reminding us how close we are getting to Christmas! It has been some time since our last meeting due to commitments so we are looking forward to catching up. I have not been on the computer these last few days. I have blog catching up to do for sure. I have been working in the garage in the early morning before  it gets too hot. I have a trunk load to hand off to Vickie for the school donation. Slowly clearing out what I am not using or will use or just do not what/need anymore. My trash/recycle guys are going to wonder if I am moving out. No indeed, instead it is who is moving in!
After so long of planning and counting away the months the time has arrived. The Brother Alan and Lisa are arriving next week.... yes they are.
In between the garage and other stuff I began the last dragonfly. This is the one that Catherine so generously helped me by sending me the right beads for the eyes.  As much as I like Mill Hill kits, there were a few issues with these. Of course having had them for a several years and never checking them, there is not much to do about the issues now except make the replacements of what is missing. The first two I made were complete so I did not check the remaining three. Thank you for the caring thoughts on my blood pressure issue. Although it has lowered a little, I am still in the Stage 2 Hypertension area which is still a concern for me. So far my bloodwork is all within normal range. I am walking a few mornings and an adjustment to one of my meds has been done. Working on it.. Glad you had time to visit. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

King of the Fountain

Okay... it is hot this week. Morning temps have been in the low to mid 70s when I wake.  After a week of comfortable below normal temps, the hot is here. I did a walk about yesterday morning and came back into the AC ASAP. Then took a quick ride to the market for a few needed items and right back inside. My Plumeria is doing so good. One of Dianna's plants is getting ready to bloom. I do not see that happening here...yet, but I will cross my fingers for a bloom.
Today I learned to bead a Puffy Triangle Drop. I just grabbed colors without too much thought and it looks okay. Not sure what I will do with it, but always eager to learn new things.  My next new beading will be a beaded needle case... thanks to Catherine who sent me the wooden needle case and link to learn. I still want to make the bumble bee bead but I am still not fond of the technic in the directions....my bee just did not look very neat. I can be too fussy but what can I say. I will try again.
The Dove nest is still empty...but...

here he is, the King of the Fountain.... the other day one was sunbathing in the bottom tier and one in the top tier... this one is sitting on the top bubbler! The Hummer feeder is still not back in the tree. The ants are still so many. I may try spraying the branch so they cannot or will not cross it to the feeder. This is the first time in 15 years that I ever had an ant problem in a feeder.
Today I have an appointment to have a couple of minor problems with the car fixed. Usually when I am there for service it is only an hour so I just read. It has been good having you to chat with. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

On my beading tray

It was a good day yesterday and a good night sleeping. Every once in awhile it happens. I went out for milk and bread yesterday and I thought the market was having a free day...busy does not cover the store activity. It looks like many are having ham for Christmas dinner this year. Still have no idea what will be on my table.
Catherine...look....the Amaryllis is going to have 6 blooms! This plant has been unbelievable. I am going to try to plant it after Christmas. The first three are finished with their blooms but I look forward to having these open.
Yesterday I began a new beading project...
I know it does not look like much but it will be finished today.... that is after my hair appointment this morning. It is a Snow Globe Snowman. I am discovering that working with clear Delica beads is not easy nor are the black beads. A test for my eyes and hand for sure. I say this every year....I will work on Christmas ornaments during the year for next year... maybe this is the year I do just that.
An update from Bobby is that Moochie is already doing better with the prescription medication. She really is a sweet kitty.
We are going to have another lovely weather day...temps near the mid 70s. Normal for this time is mid 60s. Love the weather but hate that the sun does not rise and shine until almost 7:30am.
Today is the last day for mailing in time for Christmas delivery... hope you all made it in time. My tracking tells me all my USA packages arrived, can not check on delivery to Canada…. Debbie, it is on the way. Hope it clears Canadian customs soon. Well, I best get a few things done before going out later this morning. Glad to chat with you. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.
