Just another day....

No stitch pictures today...both that I am working on are for exchanges! But---the Monsoon struck again last night...
I love the sky and the clouds...this was taken at 5:30 last night and this one a few minutes later....
beautiful! Then by 7:30 last night it all changed...

The wind...the hot wind....started to blow the palm trees....

The light began to fade...and then the rains came! It poured for a short time and then it all dried up. Today....hot and sunny already.....
I just put a blueberry and cranberry bread in to bake....I know it is too hot to use the oven...but it is only for 20 minutes and I will have the fan on....smells delicious!
Work today. Jo Ann's has a coupon for 65% off framing so I will be taking in my Nosegay piece. I am so happy you visited with me today...have a great day.

My Pagoda and a Friendship Exchange

What a joy to stitch and assemble this piece.....

This was a design from Lody Steward from the GOS July 2009 #42 issue. I used 28 ct white linen from my drawer and the threads are DMC # 115 and #792. The beads are gold beads from my bead box.
What a great design......The article says that this would be the display position.....

...and then to use as a pin cushion....
isn't it lovely! I plan to make a few more using different colors.

I started my Fall Exchange...I know, we have not even had the sign up or the name of our exchange partner....better early than hustling later. Here is the linen I dyed...

I used Rit Tan and plain white....I love the way the red splotches come out. I gathered and then rolled it in on itself when I put it in the bath.....really love the way it turned out. I like to dye my linen.....fun to experiment. So far they have always turned out to my liking.
Today is errand day...just a few...with these hot dog days upon us I was wondering if anyone would like to do a an inexpensive and easy exchange------A Friendship Exchange----just a postcard exchange. Just leave me an email with your snail info. Just another way to connect with a friend or make a new one.
Glad you stopped by today...have a pleasant day.

tooz day........? Ruby Tuesday?

If there is no happy ending....
make one out of cookie dough.

The Pagoda stitching is finished......all beads added....
Excuse the wrinkles...I also finished the top section
Now to get the stitching just right so they fit together! I don't think it will be too difficult....you will see it complete tomorrow.

Did you get and download your GOS today? I download to Cd's and keep them in a file and print out the contents page for reference. As usual, there are so many nice patterns to think about. I did find one to work on but I will not be able to share it now it will be sent to someone , so you will have to wait.

Once again I have a no plans day....it is so good to be semi-retired.
I so enjoy your visits! Thank you for the kind words and emails...... Have a wonderful day and I will stop by to see you today.

Monday Monday~~~~~~

If you're afraid of the dark....
remember the night rainbow.

What a lazy day I had yesterday. I never left the house---not once---Mr H took Zoe out when she asked....me, I just sat and relaxed, watched a movie and then stitched. The best part is that I have no plans for today either...so....that's a good guess, I will be stitching.
The stitching for the bottom piece of Pagoda is finished....
I am adding the beads....

This will be done quickly...especially with the help of my bead nabber. I loose less beads with this gadget. I am eager to start the top piece this morning.

I joined  a Secret Pen Pal group organized by Parsley. Wrote and mailed my first letter today. We will reveal our names in December. This is a very doable project as we only need to write one letter each month.
I have chosen a few pieces for the  Fall Seasonal Exchange  to stitch...just waiting for the name of my partner before I start to stitch it to be sure it will be something she likes.

Did you think Terri from Dixie Samplar got lost? Well, you guessed right. Somewhere out there is her blog floating around ...but have not fear....she has been found and you can find her again here...so please do stop by and rejoin her blog.....

Well, laundry is waiting to be folded......need a cup of coffee ....and I hear Zoe barking for something. As always, it is such a pleasure chatting with you. Thank you for the lovely comments and emails.....so glad we are friends. Have a wonderful day.
