It's Saturday?

Oh what a week! Did not go to work Thursday, tried yesterday but just made it to 2 hours and home today...forget my head and nose. I would like to leave them in the garage until they are able to function properly. Did not stitch much at all. I had visions of Fred helping me out so I kept the needles on the magnet. It is a good thing that  I have accomplished enough with the challenge pieces not to feel bad about not working on them.
Remember the lovely neighbor that I took to the ER last week? Well, the sweet 90 year old made me a "healthy soup" as she calls it. Tomato, spinach and lots of garlic...it was delicious. Of course she did say it would more beneficial if you eat it at the start of getting sick, but it is the thought that counts. That is all that is happening around here....hopefully I will get a bit of stitching in on my exchanges.....until we visit again, have a great day. Thanks you for the emails with good wishes in them...I am lucky to have such caring friends.
These lovely daisy like flowers bring a smile to my face each morning.....

I'm still here

First, thank you for the good wishes....I think I am feeling better...I say think, because it is still early in this day. Still with a little cough and a confused nose. It runs and then stuffs up before I can grab a tissue!...and yes, Doctor Mr H has insisted that I take stuff to get better. Glad he is all better so he can take care of poor me....
The Gamble Quail are back. This is the pot they always make their nest....
Lucky that it does not require everyday watering...and can be watered from the bottom! The pot is about 24 inches high...they are ground layers so why they have picked this pot for the last 3 seasons is beyond me. Mr H did not cover it so now we have some eggs....

We now have 6..one is hidden but the leaf. Mr H thought if he left some of last season's broken shells they would not return. Right. The Gamble's stop by when they have an egg or two to deposit. When all 10-12 are placed in the pot, they will start to stay. The Mr. has a deformed leg and hops about but seems to manage just fine.
I did manage to stitch but so very little...stop over to my other place and you will see just how little I did do! If my head stays on straight and my nose stops running, I just may get some of my other projects stitches in. Thank you for stopping by and sending me the notes...sorry I did not respond to each of them but I stopped by for such a short time...today will be better. Have a good one.

Cough cough....where's the tissue

Oh...I know...look at the time I am posting! Just not having a good day. Coughing, sneezing and a sore throat...did I mention I am using a lot of tissue for the runny nose? Could it be the lady and child that coughed all over the place at the fabric counter on Saturday that sent their germs to me?? So today will definitely be a day to do nothing...wait a minute, that was what I did yesterday...
Anyway, I did stitch a bit yesterday and earlier this morning. I also spent time on the telephone with sis..always a long chat.
There is an update on the Tulip set over at my other place....take a look....and thanks for stopping by. Hope you don't start coughing and sneezing...take 2 aspirin and visit with me tomorrow.

March is marching on...

I really can't believe that we are into the third week of March! Lately it seems not just the days fly by, but the weeks do too. In a way it is not all that bad...it means the time is getting closer before my kid brother visits us and of course I am waiting patiently not so patiently to become a grandma. I have been working slowly on my few projects...you know, the ones that I can not show yet...just mailed one out to my sis... waiting for the name of my Spring Exchange partner. Since it does not get mailed until May 1st, I have time for that one. I am still waiting on a package to arrive from afar...
The PBR is in town...did not get tickets but I would love to go and check it out today....I'd love to see those bulls up close. Plans are to take a ride to the area and see if we can. It has been so nice to have you stop by. In the mean time, I did finish the stitching on the fob and started the outline for the scissor case....want to see...follow me over to my other place...but first I have to put the sheets in the dryer and set out the bird feeder sack ...but I will be right there.
