Lost needle and a rolling bed

Do I have your attention?
First I posted my Autumn Exchange from Marjorie...well she is who I had! How fun is that. This is what I sent her...

I already had posted the back of this flat fold. It was fun to stitch.

Now....about the needle... I am sure all of you at one time or another loose the needle you are stitching with... admit it. Every time I start a project I make sure that I have a new package of #28 needles. I also have one of the telescoping magnets...would never be without one. There I was sitting by Mr H's hospital bed and lost.... someplace  on the floor went the needle. Out I took my trusty magnet but could not find it. But from the doorway, I saw that the CNA was watching me with curiosity .... waving my magic wand along the tile floor. I finally explained what I was doing but somehow I am not sure he believed me. Never did find the needle.
Now on about the bed. When Mr H came to the room, the Recovery nurses parked the bed in the wrong spot  not where I thought it should be. So, I unlocked the wheels and moved it to a better position. I then began to re-arrange things: the bedside table, a drink for him and so on. All of a sudden ... my back was to Mr H .... he said..." my bed is rolling" I said don't be silly, it is just the medication making you think it is moving". "No, I think it is moving". So I turned and what! the bed was indeed slowly rolling forward! I forgot to lock the wheels. I quickly pulled it back to the wall and locked the wheels. I told him that he was just fine and just groggy...he bought it! Yes, it was only one night and he is home in a bed that does not have wheels.
We are really hoping that this is it... no more... once again we will see on Monday. Keeping my toes crossed.

Well, that is it for today... all set to stay put and maybe get some stitching done. So glad you had some time to visit with me....thank you for all the wonderful thoughts they certainly mean a lot to both of us.

After a very long day yesterday...I found this waiting in my mail box..

It is my Autumn Exchange from Marjorie. She did a perfect job of finishing this pin keep. I just love it. It could not have arrived at a better time.
Yesterday, Mr H was readmitted for another surgery and kept over night. I hope it is only for last night. I also hope this is the last he will need. So, getting such a beautiful pin keep was just what I needed to find waiting in my mail box last night.

Welcome clouds

It is Monday .... the birds are chatting and it is cloudy. Amazing how we enjoy a cloudy day. IF and it is a BIG if, we are lucky it will at least sprinkle if not rain.
Laundry is done ... rice is in the steamer (for fried rice tomorrow) and ... what ... again I have a no ambition day. Oh well. Remember yesterday I said I was having a lazy day? Well, it certainly was... practically no stitching! Yep, you guessed it, not a picture to show. I do plan some stitching today both here and at the doctor's office. I keep a KISS project (keep it simple stitch) at the ready...in the tote for the doctor files.... right now it has been ornaments. I am enjoying the JBW patterns. I would love to do a few Christmas Ornament exchanges....if anyone is interested let me know. Even without a blog... I welcome you to participate.
Oh no ... it looks like the sun is might win over the clouds..... temp is 82.... so at least that is not too bad. The expected temp is  93 for today.....enough for the weather report....I see my needle sparkling and waiting to stitch...

Lazy day.....

I am giving myself a lazy day. Doing as little as possible. We have 2 busy days Monday and Tuesday.... and hopefully some good news included.

I am so glad the weather .... at least for this week .... is going to be in the low 90's which means the early mornings should be nice enough to sit outside. And that I did this morning. Had my tea and sat to stitch for an hour. My one interruption was the hummingbird that kept hovering about 6 inches from my head and  face and sat for a split second on the edge of my mug of tea! Where are the  pictures you are asking? Well, if you know anything about the hummers, they move very quickly and it was impossible even with my camera at hand. I am asking myself why, but I started another new stitch... I will post about it tomorrow... I just needed wanted a break from Christmas stitching and exchange projects.

Speaking of exchanges.... my partner received the Designer Exchange...

I choose sunflowers for the flat fold backing.

Now that the weather is a bit cooler over night..... in the 70's, the flowering bushes are once again in bloom...

This Cape Honeysuckle is at least 12 feet high.... as soon as Mr H is well enough I think it will be do for a trim...

This is my most favorite...I just love the tiny purple flowers.

Well, time to watch a Miss Marple and maybe put in a few stitches...
