New fabric.... quilties and a new blogger

A busy day yesterday. Before leaving work I just had to buy fabric...
I have plans for these lovelies, but you will have to wait to see.
I hope you can see the bit of gold in the red piece....love the muted colors in the gold piece.

Yesterdays mail brought me these...
I participated in Sandra Kaye's Quiltie exchange in January. Normally, Sandie and I meet up for breakfast but it seemed like things got in the way. She mailed them to me instead and we are making plans for a meet soon. The one that is a house is from Sandy Rowe..she did not include info so I can not properly thank her. The one with the cross is from Lori and the last one from Vicki who are both in Florida. I will be sending email to thank them for lovely quilties.

About the new blogger......it is Annette who stitches in California. I hope you find the time to welcome her ...here. She is a very talented friend.
It is a beautiful morning here in Arizona so I will take my coffee and newspaper out to the lanai and then do some stitching. Mr H has been assigned a help me project and I will be trying a bracelet I saw on Pinterest. All in all it seems like it will be a busy day. Thank you for visiting and for the lovely comments and emails.....have a wonderful day.

The sheep is ready to travel and a bump on my head

Just where did this week go? So much to share......
First let me tell you about a mishap--- yesterday afternoon after returning from errands, as I was pulling down the hatch on our PT Cruiser I did not move out of danger! The corner of the hatch hit me right over my right eyebrow..... stars, I saw stars! Now I can be out of sorts without something like this happening! I do not need help! And there  was Mr H .... with "you should watch that!" What a novel idea!

Okay, on to better things. Sandra and I meet for bagels yesterday. I brought her a Quiltie square. I did not have the time to do her Christmas exchange, but I did make one for her.
remember the lovely Christmas Butterfly fabric? I embellished it with tiny gold beads and some glitter.
Sandra gave me...

Isn't he so cute and his own light bulb!

I finished the Travelling Pattern~~~~ Thankful for Ewe. The tale of this pattern: first Tricia stitched it and offered it to travel....it went to CalamityJr (aka Mary Jane) and then it  was lost with another stitcher until CalamityJr was able to get it back and sent it on to me. Well, here is my version

I stitched it on a mystery R & R linen from my fabric draw..... 23ct . I listed the threads that I used with the pattern.  I used Whisper for the sheep ... isn't she cute and fluffy!
So~~~ if you are interested in being next~~~~and adding your touch to this quick stitch......
       1. must have an active blog
       2. willing to stitch it now and pass it on
send me an email... look to my side bar... and I will get it in the mail to one of you asap.

Moving along-----I played with the beads again
An Indian Maiden..... not sure of it will be on a necklace or a pin.... any suggestions?

Although I did not join the  Crazy 2012 group, I do have a plan... well, I have been thinking. I want to finish up some projects that seem to be hiding in the craft closet. Why they do not want to join the real world is beyond me. So, I will force them out! they will be finished! I will also add in a few new ones.... well, I did buy them or received them and they will not be ignored! I plan to make myself available to whatever is in the closet... this could be scarey. I have no idea of what I may find.

I need to take something for this PT hatch headache... and a cup of coffee with some toast might help. Glad you took some time to stop by... and thank you for the wonderful comments..... enjoy your day.

Hugs~~~~~

A hug is a great gift - one size fits all, and it's easy to exchange.  ~Author Unknown

I have been lucky to gets hugs so many times when they were really needed. No, I am not asking for me... for a new blogger Amanda..... she could use some cheer up hugs. Stop by and say hello.

This morning I got a hug from Susan and it was needed just then. Hugs right back to you Susan.
Yesterday was my turn for the doctor. She tells me that I need lab work. Remember the last time I had blood drawn???? Yes, that is right it was painful... collapsed veins and bruising and swelling. Not fun. Off I go to get my punishment blood work.

I realized that I had not posted the Quilties I made for the exchange....

I wish I could have joined the December exchange.... just too much to do and still looking for minutes hours to add to my days. I am getting greedy!

Well, no time to stitch this morning...off to run errands. Must get to the market for Thanksgiving dinner food. We will be cooking just a large turkey breast and the fixings..... I think I will bake some bread..... and we will have a relaxing day. Well, I know I will be stitching and I have several things ready for me to sit at the sewing machine to finish. Posting target is for Monday.
So nice to share some time with you....have a great day.

It is Dear Ziz's fault...and a bit of mine

I know, you are wondering what Dear Ziz did. She e-mailed me that she would be going to Mesa... to The Attic and did I need anything. Well now, that is like asking me if I want chocolate. But I decided that.... no I would not buy need anything. A few phone calls back and forth with Mr Z and I had to call Dear Ziz. So if she did not start I would not have bought. But look....
Berries & Blooms from With Thy Needle... but I did not stop there.....

Just had to have A Stitcher's Purse also by WTN....and of course the threads and linen. Too bad the linen color does not show well.....it is Lakeside V Wood Smoke...luscious. Now to be far...I also did some buying ... on my own.
I fell in love with this issue.....and yes, I plan to make something real soon from it. Must get to the bead shop to get supplies... maybe today.
Oh and yess.... my Quilties arrived were handed over. Not by any fault of Sandra did they just reach me. We had planned to meet again at Paradise Bakery and I have had to put it off...... work and Mr H. So finally on Friday we had breakfast and look.....
The House is from Kathy Grant in Australia. She does not have a blog and did not include her e-mail so I can not thank her properly. If anyone know her...please tell her to contact me. Next is the Too Cute Scottie from Marilou. It is so sweet....and  lastly is Snookered...in the front.... it is from Katie. She even sent along the definition and all about the game. This was fun and Sandra is having a Christmas one but at this crazy time I will not be joining. With Mr H going for surgery yet again and work being super holiday busy.... well, I think I will pass this time. But here is Sandra and me.....

I leave you with this early morning sky....
The sun was trying to rise above the cloud...and it finally did.
Enjoy your day...and thank you for spending time with me this day.....

Meeting a blogger friend...

It's Sandie from Sandra Kaye who is hosting the Quilties exchange. We discovered early on that we live opposite one another here in the Valley. She on the East side and me here in West. So instead of mailing mine to her we are meeting this morning. There are several of Arizona bloggers... wouldn't it be nice to finally meet in person! It's a thought.....

It is already getting warm out so no sitting out with my coffee this morning. Laundry done! Bank visit accomplished! Milk bought! So, now a little relaxing before heading out. I may even get a few more embroidery stitches done.....Thank you for stopping by ... have a wonderful day.
