Thimbles

I would like to share one of my collections..thimbles.

The display holds 100 and I still have a few empty spaces to fill. One blank spot is for a thimble from Illinois. As we drove through the states to get here I picked up a thimble but was unable to get one in Illinois. One day it will be there in the bottom row.

See the silver one...it is the smallest

and the four metal ones are the oldest..one was given to me back in 1980 . The lady was around 80 and it was hers from the 20's!

These are the most ornate. The are from Kirks Folly, a company in Rhode Island. See Dorothy's red slippers!

I have one from Germany, Paris and Switzerland, Canada and Mexico...family and friends have brought them back from travels as well as when I am out and about. I love thimbles!

Well, I do have a stitch update...but you know...it is here...so blog over and see how far I have gotten with.....

What a day

Let's just say that I was very happy when 5 pm came around....

I bought a book that I have been thinking about for a few weeks...and used a 50% coupon besides....

This even has a CD with it...

Got home from work thinking, well, I ended my work day with book...walked in from the garage and the smell of spaghetti and shrimp and stuffed quahogs. Ah.....what a guy.

But what is this? On the table was an envelope...I had sent for.....

I saw this on With My Needle and Thread site and had to have it! I would like to make it soon...but when, I still have 15 WIP from the Challenge...what to do...what to do.

Speaking of the challenge, there is an update to Always and Forever over my other place.

Well, I need to put my feet up and relax...no stitching tonight. So glad you stopped by. Please check out my update...it is coming along.

It arrived

Not much doing today...going to get a hair-cut...Mr H is going later to get the oil change for the car...I just want to stitch...made good progress on Always and Forever...posted at my other place. I may continue on it or...I could pick one of the binders and see what I see....right now, I need some Cheerios.... and a cup of tea.

 I still cannot post the piece I worked on yesterday because it is for an exchange...but today I should be able to finish the stitch part, then I just have to put it all together to be mailed. This is my first exchange, and I hope to be involved in more. Anyone interested in a Birthday List?

My Patriots did not win the game and so they are out of the playoffs...Thanks Tricia for the note of condolence....so kind of you. I did not get as much stitching as I would have liked done yesterday...but today is another day. Can't show this piece yet....

Ah.....taking a deep breath

Well, what a strange thought...no new starts! It really has been fun though...now down to the daily business of stitching them all...and by the end of the year!

Today is another big football day...of course we are Patriot fans...so...we are hoping that Tommy comes through ...that is Tom Brady of course for those who do not follow the game. I will have to monitor Mr H because he gets very involved in the game...I plan to be in the stitching chair in the other room....
