I would like to share one of my collections..thimbles.
The display holds 100 and I still have a few empty spaces to fill. One blank spot is for a thimble from Illinois. As we drove through the states to get here I picked up a thimble but was unable to get one in Illinois. One day it will be there in the bottom row.
See the silver is the smallest

and the four metal ones are the was given to me back in 1980 . The lady was around 80 and it was hers from the 20's!
These are the most ornate. The are from Kirks Folly, a company in Rhode Island. See Dorothy's red slippers!

I have one from Germany, Paris and Switzerland, Canada and and friends have brought them back from travels as well as when I am out and about. I love thimbles!

Well, I do have a stitch update...but you is blog over and see how far I have gotten with.....

What a day

Let's just say that I was very happy when 5 pm came around....

I bought a book that I have been thinking about for a few weeks...and used a 50% coupon besides....
This even has a CD with it...

Got home from work thinking, well, I ended my work day with book...walked in from the garage and the smell of spaghetti and shrimp and stuffed quahogs. Ah.....what a guy.
But what is this? On the table was an envelope...I had sent for.....
I saw this on With My Needle and Thread site and had to have it! I would like to make it soon...but when, I still have 15 WIP from the Challenge...what to do...what to do.
Speaking of the challenge, there is an update to Always and Forever over my other place.
Well, I need to put my feet up and stitching tonight. So glad you stopped by. Please check out my is coming along.

It's that day....

Outside my window: It is dark except for the lights in the garden
I am thinking: Which project shall I stitch today
I am thankful for: Being able to do as I please without needing to explain myself
From the kitchen: Waiting for my tea to brew
I am wearing: My pj's of course...
Around the house: shh...they are still asleep
I am reading: Nothing! need to download a book from the library to the e-Reader
I am hearing: The quiet clicking of the computer keys as I type
On my mind: It seems to be blank today!!!!
From my camera's eye:
This is my other mouse who sits at the computer
I am hoping: You have a wonderful day.

Congrats to Fiona who is celebrating her 2nd blogaversary with a giveaway.
I still cannot post the piece I worked on yesterday because it is for an exchange...but today I should be able to finish the stitch part, then I just have to put it all together to be mailed. This is my first exchange, and I hope to be involved in more. Anyone interested in a Birthday List?
