I really did make a new start...

Usually when I am on vacation, I have time to stitch. I always manage to get something accomplished. I did make 2 bracelets and one of my cousins managed to take 2 of my bracelets! I also did get a little stitching in...Little House Needlework's, My Lady. I plan to finish it differently.. not as a picture.

I had planned to just sit and stitch yesterday... but I first had to go to Jo Ann's to get the upcoming work schedule.... then Mr H decided we would go to Scottsdale to get some Prickly Pear Jelly that I need to send off to*****. We did stop at Cheesecake Factory for lunch..finally home. By that time stitching was out of the question. Soooo... today's plan is to stitch. We shall see.

Getting there

It seems that it is taking me longer to get back to normal... or what I consider normal. I have not stitched! Maybe today. I am feeling more like myself. Whoever this recent person is, I wish she would disappear real soon. Luckily for me I have had the week off. I sure needed it.

I love seeing a fishing boat fleet. I do love my desert now, but I have wonderful memories of this area in Rhode Island. It is where I spent a lot of my young days... Galilee. My dad enjoyed fishing as did my uncle Tony and my Papa. Many times we roamed the docks a night. It felt safe. It would be my sis and I as well as my cousin Freddie and his cousin Joey and maybe a few other  kids. Our dad would fish, the moms sit and chat and we kids roamed the docks. My dad would sometimes catch eels. Yuck...no I never did eat them... he loved them. My mom refused to clean and cook them so dad would take them to a neighborhood restaurant where they made him some and served the rest. These eels were large...some as long as 36 inches and quite round. 
We had overnight rain...love the sound of rain while falling asleep. Finally stopped around 7 am...now we have humidity. The sun is drying the yard and before long there will be no evidence of the rain. I would like to just sit and stitch today. I do have a few errands to take care of.  I am still trying to catch up on all the blogs. There is only so much time in a day.  I feel like I am rambling! Mentally I know I am.

Getting back to normal...well at least I am trying!

I have not felt my best since returning from vacation. I thought I was getting a cold, but I don't think so. My stomach has not been normal... just all over on/off feeling lousy.
My cousin's get together was wonderful. We got to chat and laugh and even a few tears, but I must say, it was great. Mys sis, Lynowl got me to the ocean

 This fella had some lunch requests..... I got to have NE seafood.




I got to meet up with a friend and had a great time and then got to  spend the day with a former co-worker...my forever sidekick Lu and hubby Stan...

Friendship knows no distance. It ended too soon. Next time i will try to stay longer. I barely held a piece of floss in my hand...too busy. I did get to relax and enjoy myself. So that is about it for now....
