New do.....

A lovely sunny cool day for the last Saturday of the month. We are in Wedding count down; there are 10 days to the special date of February 9th.  Yesterday I went for a haircut....

back to short again. It was the first time with Suzette and I told her to do as she pleased and now I am pleased. This is my bday gift from sis Lynowl. I sent a picture to her and she loves it. Alan made a big fuss over it when he came home yesterday.  While out yesterday, Lisa and I found a pink mask that looks good with the top I am wearing for the wedding.  We really are excited and I think a bit nervous too.
there is swishing and then will be more swishing in the laundry area. A little bit of housework as the maid has not made an appearance.  Just Murphy and me home for now...some people are working. If my right hand loosens up I will play at my sewing/craft table. Still practicing my paper beads. In the meantime, I will finish my coffee. So glad you could stop by today. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

Herbs and flowers

If the temps stay as  predicated… it  will be Spring! Of course as Shelly says, "Phoenix doesn't have a Spring! Winter straight to summer." We are suppose to reach 70s all week. The sunrise was a beautiful pink sky but by the time I fetched the camera it was gone. At the moment there is fluffing and swishing happening in the laundry area. The Bissell is waiting for a walk around the place.
Yesterday I gathered some found flowers from the craft shelf and brought Spring/Summer into the living room. Something to greet me each day.
I am ready to snip some green onion shoots this week. These have rally done well sitting on the little chair. Usually the little red chair sits on the floor by the other plants but every so often I bring it up to get extra light. It does well in less light though.
Out in the garden, my Rosemary plant is continuing to grow bigger and bigger. This was a 6 inch pot 12 years ago.... it is pretty much on it's own as it hardly is ever watered. Now it is around 3 feet high and 4 feet wide. Love the smell of it every time I brush by.
Thanks for the compliments on my new hairdo...always pleased with how April does my hair. To answer the doctor questions.... yes I will need surgery (waiting for the date) on my hand. He also found some other issues that will require care in the near future. I should be able to use my hand...limited...right away but yes, with limits. I thought I would get some meals ready to make things easy. A beef stew and couple of pot pies are a few things I thought of...not too much as I like things freshly made.  I also will make my February Origami Fabric Star before as I know it will not be easy with a hand healing. The pieces are cut and ready.... just need to press and fold into shape. That about covers what is happing here at Mi Casa. So nice to chat with you. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship. Remember...if you do not have a blog where I can return the visit and comments, please email me your email addy so I can respond to you.

I discovered that I can not read Polski!

What a busy day Wednesday was. Dianna texted me that she would stop by to pick up the surround sound speakers for her cousin. Does not stop there..."where shall we go" was the question. Off to a store so she could pick up a southwest item and then to Goodwill thrift... then of course for a quick bite to eat. Time spent with Dianna and at times with her and hubby Bobby is always fun and they are two caring and good friends to me. So lucky to have them in my life. A little beyond 4:30PM a text from Dianna…"It's getting windy here, are you OK?" This because we had a Dust Storm Warning. She then proceeded to keep me company via text until 9:30 or so. Inviting me for fresh pancakes with blueberries early this morning! Did I ever mention there is about 10 years difference in our age...that we are sisters from a different mother...
Me; then it was off to the doctor at 1PM and of course he found the problem and injections in another area of my back. I am becoming a pincushion! I feel much better but will take it easy the next few days while everything takes hold. I need to use the step ladder to get the leaf blower down and one of the chimes out front which is very tangled, but it will wait a few days. The Lanai is a disaster and "I can stands it no more".....remember who used to say that in the cartoons???? Clue, he liked spinach. I also want to change the living room curtains but I guess that will be a Lisa task....shh, don't tell her. It is going to be a surprise.
After the doctor off to JC Penny hair salon...yes I desperately needed a haircut.

The gal who used to cut my hair at another place left and I just wanted someone different. I sat in the chair showed her a picture of how it always was cut and said do something different. I am not good at the selfie thing, but here it is. I love it. I am fortunate to have natural curls/body...this is a cut and air dry. I even bought a new shampoo and conditioner that will help with this Arizona dryness. It was buy one get one free...so saved $13.00 on the 3 bottles.
Polski…..means Polish.... the language not furniture polish! The earring diagram is not the easiest to follow but what I am discovering is that if I could read Polski then I would have better directions. So it is a slow process. Definitely will design my own pattern. Feeling a bit tired but should be able to sleep better with the pain gone.
Still have not made those Date Nut Bars...since I will be home early from Dianna's (still tentative) I guess that will be what is on the to do list. That about covers it for me. So happy that you stopped by and as always thank you for the kind words and for your friendship.
I value the friend who for me finds time on his calendar,
but I cherish the friend who for me
does not consult his calendar.
