New fabric for projects

I just fell in love with...

This wil be my next bag...large print for the outside and the companion roses the inside....I got everything ready and once again forgot to get more of the Pellon! What is wtrong with me? I have bits and pieecs which will not work. As I will be at work today I will get it and then sew this weekend.

Then I just have to make Kaaren's First Friday Freebies.... she jsut keeps tempting me each month. Since I did not get to do last month's it will be included with this month's design....I so far piced this for the project.. The ligt blue with the delicate rose motif will be used for the embroidered front and the darker blue for the backing.

I did work a little on Iris but then Mr H put on a movie and I just had to watch. It was a nice relaxing day... comfy inside, hot outside. So you know where we stayed. I will have to figure out a drawing as I have hit the 201 mark with friends. Welcome .... Who would have thought someone would enjoy my blog. Thank you for the kind words. It is so nice to email chat with many of you regularly. I am honored with your friendship.
 I feel the need for some Cream of Wheat and a cup of Maxwell House...so I will say, have a wonderful day.

Oh my, we actually did get some rain yesterday. As usual it did not last too long and did not amount to much. But we gladly take what we can get. Today promises to be a humid day here with the temps a little below average. I will be at work and not looking forwrd to the humidity.
 I managed to get another 100 stitches in for Iris...

I did carry one color down into the next block as it was only one stitch in the completed one. I now have 30 colors in use...60 more to go.

I am still thinking on the finish for this one. Although it has more to stitch, I have changed my mind twice! I think I will just wait until the last X is stitched. I was asked about the linen I am using. I wish I could answer more than it is from my stash, but the truth is, I do not know more than that. Sometimes I purchase remnant pieces and they do not have info about name only count. I liked the color and the 32ct was right. I did change the colors to DMC as that was what was readily available to me. I am using #'s, 3828--3802--3862--163--3733. One of these pictures hopefully will show the real pink shade of the linen...
 I am feeling so very tired today with no real reason. I think it is the humidity. At least I hope that is the reason for the upset stomach. I pulled some rat tail to make another Kumihimo bracelet. I do want to try one with beads. I watched a great beaded bracelet tutorial this morning...now I wast to try one of those also! I am not content unless I have a few projects in the works. Today I plan to pick out fabric for another handbag.  I think I better slow down...

Madame Muriel and the Posse

Hello friends. I feel it is really time to leave Dodge Arizona! It is not bad enough that the temps have been in the 103 to 113 range, but yesterday I found myself in the arms of the law... The Posse!

 Now I did nothing wrong. I was on my way home and Gracie made a stop and the next thing I knew the law had me! Lucky for me he was kind and gentle and gave me back to Gracie. Actually it was Mr Ziz who is with the Sheriff's Posse.

Anyway, it is just too hot and we have been relaxing in the comfort of the air conditioned home. I have enjoyed my visit but it is time to move on. I will be going to thegreytail in Italy to spend time with Chiara. There is a promise to visit a beautiful Villa and a maze. I hope I do not get lost as I have never been in a maze. My first trip to Italy! So in the next week or so I will be off....be sure to visit me there and read of my adventures. Gracie has had the needle and thread in hand but that is for tomorrow. I see she has reached 201 followers! I think she is planning a give away to celebrate. Of course she has been waiting for a few "things" to send off the magazine winners...

It arrived and I don't mean July 1st !

Oh, another hot day. Last night at 5:30 it was 113 as I drove home from work....and it is not getting any better today. But when I did get in Mr H brought me the mail and it arrived....

I just sent in the order for School Girl  Sampler Thimble Purse and how quickly I have it. Thank you Brenda Gervais for designing a lovely project. I think I may have to order one of the  others now. I do not have the threads or linen yet, but it came with a mini antique brass purse frame. If I get too antsy to work on it, I will substitute the linen and thread, but I am going to try to hold off.
I love all of the Country Stitches designs. I think I need Birds and Berries....next time I will order with the threads. I do have GA Sampler threads and thought let me see if I have wahat  I need, but of  course I only have 2 of them. The directions are in photo steps and so nice to follow. I hope I can hold off until Monday to get the required thread...... I think I can.

On this one, I did substitute thread and linen and I am very pleased with my selection. Nothing like tooting my own horn! I will list them all later. This is such a nice project to work on.
