Cloudy, muggy and mail

The temps recently have stayed in the triple digits reaching 107. Today they tell us we will have a cool down, maybe it will be 98, but cloudy and muggy. I just poked my head out to get the newspaper. Think it will be an indoor day for me today especially since I am feeling better. Oh I do have to go to the Post Office to mail out Natalia's quilt.  I have added tea and yogurt to the BRAT diet now making me BRATTY! I started a new med and slowly adding real food to the diet. Definitely helping with the fatigue. I actually have been stitching but cannot share because it is RR #2. Yesterday the mail brought me...
my first piece from Shirley in NZ. She does not have a blog but we catted via emails. I love the motif and she sent a few goodies too. Tea, humbug, beads and lavender ribbon....she did check my blog! Shirley included a postcard from her area and that is something I try to remember to include when I send something. I will post the motif I sent when I know she received it.... she reads my blog so I do not want her to see it here first. I really am glad I joined in this exchange. Another month has flown away...2 days left and then it is June. I will continue my Arizona Bound post then. I am ready for another cup of tea and to stitch for awhile. Hope whatever your plans are they are fun. Thank you for stopping by and for your friendship....
Nothing will work unless you do.

Thank you Lelia

On Sunday morning I spotted an envelope on the table... what is this...it's for me! After coming home from the first day back at work on Saturday, hungry and tired, I never looked for mail. So here is what was in the envelope
my very own Origami Bag from Lelia. Let me tell you that it brought joy to me and a smile on my face. I wanted to make one after seeing her tutorial, but, well you know how it is. We see something and want to make it but other things come first. I love the fabric choices and pockets on both sides and look at the bead on the draw string... just like the fabric print! The bag measures around 8" square and deep. Very good size. What a lucky gal I am. Lelia has been one of my best moral supporters regarding my tatting. She is a pro. Included in the note is tatted butterfly which I plan to tack onto the flap of the bag. I am still smiling!
I should tell you that I am feeling much better...still having one issue but with the holiday weekend, I will have to wait until Tuesday to talk with my PCP. I am a BRAT during the day, but eating a real diet at night. Some might even argue this being a BRAT has nothing to do with my diet! lol Trying to keep my humor during this episode.
This morning is my monthly stitch group. Always nice to meet up with the ladies for chatting and show and tell. We are expecting triple digit temps today and most all week so I will be taking it easy later today. Thank you all for the kind words regarding Natalia.... I am a proud aunti.
Glad you had some time to visit with me today.....hope you have a wonderful day.

Moving on.....

First I must thank all of you for your kind words and support...then apologize for not getting back to each of you but it has not been a computer week for me. It really hasn't been much of any kind of week. I am starting to feel much better.... of course I think finally eating real food is helping. There is just so much of that BRAT diet that I can stand! Mr H got me Popsicle which were a nice break from the diet. Now I need to call back the doctor as the 2 anti-biotics seem to be bothering me. So I stopped taking them. I know, that is a no no. I went in to work yesterday and it felt like a 10 hour shift instead of 5... but now I am off until Tuesday. During this lazy last week I thought about my needlework and all the things I want to do. As if I wasn't dizzy enough! I am going to try to work in something new each month....like Irish Crochet, and stump-work and what ever else is on the bookshelf.
How about an update on my beautiful grand-niece, Natalia Rose. Isn't she sweet..... they say when a baby is sleeping and smile, they are talking with the angels.... and what angel doesn't want to chat with this cutie. Her mom and dad just celebrated their birthdays....dad Joseph on the 23rd and mom Elyssa on the 24th. One of these days you will get to meet them.
Hopefully I will have something finished that I can show you. I mailed out my RR to Shirley in NZ..... I will mail out my quilt to Natalia on Tuesday, and today I start my #2 RR. In all my recent chaos, I forgot that I joined in on Jo's Summer Post Card Garden blog hop....must check out if I still have time to send my picture! So, that is where I am off to now, that and to have a cup of tea. Thank you for your friendship and kind words....I am so very lucky to have you all in my life. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Almost human again

The last 2 days have been horrible....hopefully today will be my healing day for I do have work tomorrow. Let's start from the beginning. On Friday night Mr H and I visited a local restaurant that we go to for fish and chips. This time I decided to try the Glazed Pork chop with a side salad and steamed veggies. It was really very good. Home we cam to watch a movie then of to bed. At1:30am I awoke to feeling quite ill. Light-headed and over all sick. Then all broke loose and the vomiting started and continued. Then of course the diarrhea and finally just exhaustion. If you thinking food poisoning you are thinking correctly. A total feeling of weakness and headache continued yesterday. Thankfully the headache is gone, the light headed feeling too. My stomach is settling enough for me to hold down food and I am drinking water and Gatorade. Mr H has been  so good...when he asked what else he could do for me, I asked him to take over for me and I would help him...no luck with that. I called the Health Department to ask if anyone else had complained... no record. The lady asked me to file a complaint so that they could make a visit to the restaurant and check it out. At first I hesitated, but then thought, no, I have to do this. If for nothing else to be sure they are aware of a problem and correct whatever it is that is wrong.
I had wanted to tell you that on Friday I had finished my Round Robin piece and was going to get it to the post office...did not happen. I wanted to tell you about the beaded dragonfly pin that I got ready for making which has not been touched. Or I could tell you about the mug rug I was planning that is still spread out on the cutting table. So I guess you could say I have done absolutely nothing for the past few days. Now, I am back to relaxing and trying to get back to me....
A nap sounds about right and more Gatorade.  Thanks for listening to my tale of woe. I do hope you are having a good day. I know I am here somewhere... just as soon as I find myself I will do something creative! Did I mention I want to try Irish Crochet?
