TheVet--The Postman--and me

The week that is. Let's start at the beginning. On Monday early afternoon, I spotted blood on the bedroom carpet. After checking to see if I had been injured, I asked Mr H where it was coming from. As we followed the drops we found Ms Zoe was bleeding from her right hind paw. She had just come in from  outdoors and obviously caught her foot in the slider track completely pulling out her nail. Off to the vet...luckily she did not require stitches... just meds. By the time we got back I was in no mood to stitch. Tuesday was a work day... someone has to pay Zoe's vet bills! Wednesday the postman brought me...
BBD Yellow Bird. It is a travelling pattern so of course I just could not wait to start it. Sooner I finish, it will be off to Mouse... I promise not to take long.....I am using 28 ct Cream linen from my stash and Weeks Dye Works #1227 Bright Leaf....

I know, what about the other projects. Well, I will get back to them. As you know, if you sign on for the Travelling patterns, you must stitch them ASAP so it keeps moving. Always a good reason to start something new don't you think?.
On Wednesday the postman brought me...

I had won Kaye's drawing and this is what she sent.Complete and ready to work on... I will hold off as I have a few in the works as you know!  I love the design and the colors.... Kay had the drawing to celebrate her 200 followers and 1st Blog anniversary. Lucky me.
I did manage to finally get to the post office to send Madame Muriel on her way to Italy. She will be staying with Chiara (the grey tail). So be sure to follow her adventures.

This brings us to Thursday... I even hate to admit this, but a new project. I know I know, but what can I say. It is a beaded bracelet. I will show you when I complete it. It could have, would have, been finished, but I forgot that I needed closures! I guess I was not thinking at the bead store yesterday. I will have to go back today...that brings us full circle to Friday. So there you have it. My week in review. I truly hope to stitch today and finish the bracelet today and as I have been up and awake since 1 am with Ms Zoe, who is napping, I will probably nap sometime today myself.

Can't wait to see the beaded bracelet. I have the pattern with lady and have finished it but can't decide on what she should be holding.

Hi Gracie! So sorry to hear of poor Zoe having an injury & trip to the vet ~ tho the paw/nail not needing sutures is very good news.

Wonderful to see all of your 'mailman arrivals' and will be watching for pictures of your bracelet and ongoing progress on your other works :-)

Have a lovely weekend!

Apart from poor Miss Zoe, it sounds like a pretty good week. So glad that you like your prize from me. I love it, too.

What a scare you had with Zoe...glad that she is doing better now.

BBD 'Yellow Bird' looks like a sweet tranquil design, and I love that LHN design too....have been contemplating stitching that one too. Enjoy the stitching journeys!
