I am not a quilter...but....and giveaway news

I am so pleased with my Spring Floral Needle Case finish...
The colors fit together so nice and my stitching of the seams is not too bad either. Again, I am not a quilter~~  however, I was taught by a wonderful lady many years ago.  Her name was Beatrice and she gave me several good books to help me. Kaaren from My Painted Quilt gave excellent directions for this is her Freebie Pattern.

I did make a few creative changes. My embroidered pocket is a little deeper and I stitched 2 side pockets. One (left) holds extra packet of needles and the right side holds my scissor. My needle felt has a button and opens to have a place for my needles while the outside flap holds pins. My closure is a button and ribbon loop.
This is the second pattern from Kaaren that I stitched and love making them. I think I will make a few for gifts.... wonder who would like one?

I did not get to stitch on Iris... and I do miss it. I think I will have to concentrate on it for a few days. I did mention a giveaway.... I will post on that Sunday as that is when I will announce the winner of My Memories digital scrapbooking giveaway.... So you still have time to leave me a comment telling me that you are interested.

Our temps have returned to the 100's. Yesterday it was 108 and it will be around that again today. Heat advisories are again in effect. Mr H will be reminded to stay indoors and not put around the yard while I am at work. Well, time for a cup of and the morning paper....
Welcome to my new friends and always a loving thank you for the kind comments and emails. I do try to answer all and visit everyone. Hope you all have a good day.

Your embroidered pocket is great! What a fine job you did. I don't know how you do it Gracie. I couldn't live in such heat every day. We will get a day or two in a row of 100's, but not months!
