This week has escaped me! It certainly is not because I was busy.... no, but I have been tired and lazy. I may not have been creative but I did read and watch a few things on Netflix. Oh and I did feel sorry for myself a few times. I know that I have come a long way this past year and still have a way to go. A quick morning chat with The Brother Alan and I did feel better. Did I tell you yet?
The winds really kicked up yesterday and the temp reached 115. We had the first dust storm of this monsoon season yesterday.

Not too much dust hit my area but the winds have made a real mess in the garden. There was plenty of debris in the air! It will stay that way for a few days... it is still windy today. The temp at 4 AM was 93 which meant there was little cool down during the overnight. Right now the chimes and buoy bell are calling out.
I went for a Bone Density scan yesterday and the gal doing the test was from New Jersey so we had a good New England chat. It did not take long but I forgot to ask when the results would be sent to my doctor so I will call his office today. I had a test back in the mid 90s and it did show some deterioration. Remind me to tell you....
I must admit to not drinking enough water yesterday and I feel it today so I will be sure to stay hydrated with my water and frozen fruit added.... black raspberries, strawberries, peaches and pineapple chunks... and a slice of lemon too. Right now I am a bit hungry so a scrambled egg and a cup of tea sounds about right. Have you heard?
The Brother Alan and Lisa will be here in September.... arriving on the 18th.... we already have a few plans thought out. I also have a few To Do things for him. So the count down is on.
Off I go...glad that we had time to chat. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship....

I'm so glad you posted! I was going to email you after I caught up on my blog reading to make sure you're doing ok in the heat. Yesterday was really quite warm. We had some wind, but not much. No dust at all. Isn't it funny how the weather can be so different in Monsoon just a few miles over?! Take care, stay inside, and keep cool!
Hi Gracie,
glad to hear from you. We went for the annual car show mystery drive yesterday and then bbq at Steve's. It was 36 degrees here which is 96.8 F. I wasn't feeling so great and then today the skies opened up and it's raining hard and harder. Hope it close off for the rest of the weekend, which I will not be doing anything other than resting by back.I sent a envelope to Eva with a large word find book in it. It has large words so she will be able to read it and have fun. She should get it in a week's time. Stay in the shade and have a wonderful day. big hugs love
Happy you are doing ok gracie, so happy to that Alan and Lisa are coming .
It will be nice to count the days on your calendar .
Stay cool it's hot here too. Not much sleep again for me last night.
Enjoy your weekend.
Wow, look at those trees!
Alan and Lisa are arriving the day after my Birthday, save them a piece of cake!
Such extreme weather you are having! I cannot imagine 115!! I get hot once it hits 70 degrees. Please be sure to drink plenty of water and stay inside!! Are you originally from NJ?
Sounds really hot! High 90's here, heat factors over 100. Too hot for beach or pool.
I'm glad you are staying inside during this time. You hv done so well Gracie. You hv to let yourself grieve or you could get sick. What's wrong with your hand? I get a Prolia injection twice a year for osteoporosis. It is helping.
Bet you can't wait to see Alan and Lisa.
Glad your Mom is doing better. Take care. Love Auntie
I felt the same way about last week...suddenly it was over, and I couldn't even remember what I'd done with it!
