Well, I am certainly cutting it close with surgery preparations. Finally having an EKG on Monday morning at 9am. Surgery is October 3rd....it will have to do. I have had 2 other surgeries this year and did not require an EKG....not going to question the powers that will be doing the procedure. I would have had it last Monday but I incorrectly wrote the time down...so I missed the appointment....so not like me. Monday will be my first time using Uber for transportation. Alan is away until Monday very late evening and Lisa is working. Today literally I have a pain in my neck. When I visited with the Pain doctor, we decided to wait and see if it is somehow connected with the disc issue. When I return in 2 months he will decide how to proceed. I have never had so many issues as now. Truth be told, I have been feeling a little stressed lately. I know it will work out.
Remember the baby quilt...
Well here is McKayla all wrapped in it. so nice to see it really being used. Message received from the dad Joe is that they love it.
👀Look at my hexies.... did I mention it might take 100 complete pieces which means 200 pieces cut...I am once again enjoying my project. Sewing by hand is very relaxing for me. My sewing table is on the opposite side of my bed area so it is like another room. I have a floor length window...my view is nice and if I turn to my right, I can look out the slider and peer into the lanai and garden.
Recently when I did look into the garden this is what I saw...a pair of Goldfinches enjoying a bath in the fountain. They stayed for some time and of course interrupted my sewing. Then there is Murphy...at this very moment he is under the sewing table leaning against my legs waiting for attention. How can I get things done with all this stuff around me. I love it. time to continue chores...the House Faerie once again missed my house. Dishwasher swirling, laundry swishing and dryer fluffing.... I need another cup of coffee. Say something nice to someone today...share a smile, it just maybe what someone needs.Glad you stopped by today...another nice interruption. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

What a sweet baby. Love the blanket. Those couple of Goldfinches are having a good time in your fountain. Love the Hexies patches. How do you sew in the chocolate kisses to the hexies. Ha ha joke. Take care and don't stress too much. hugs Lynda Ruth
I love reading your blog but hate all of the issues you are enduring. I hope you are in perfect shape by Thanksgiving which is only 2 months away!!!
I am praying for you my dear. And those doctors!
The baby quilt worked out great!
Your hexies are looking really good Gracie.
Love those Hexies!
That baby is so cute in your quilt.
I hope everything goes well for you.

Hexies are coming along great. I'm sure the EKG will be fine. Nice view from your room. I love watching birds.
Your bedroom/work area with a "view" sounds delightful. So
sorry you are experiencing these issues, but hopefully they
will be resolved with the procedure. My Sister-in-law is
having surgery same day as yours, so I will be wrapping you both up in prayer throughout. Just love your quilt and can
understand the relaxing aspect of your hand-stitching. Take
care and be at peace.
Baby Mikayla looks so sweet and cuddly in the quilt! What a little darling.
Lovely to have birds in the fountain too.
So sweet to see the baby in the quilt you made! I'm eager to see your new quilt. Such beautiful fabrics!
Fingers crossed for your surgery, hope everything goes well!
Hi Gracie: So sorry you are having pain in your neck; I hope they can correct it soon.

That baby looks good wrapped in the baby blanket so sweet.
Mikey is always at my feet.

Just popping in to say you are being prayed through your
surgery tomorrow, Grace dear, and that the surgeons and
medical staff are being covered in prayer as well. May
you have peace, comfort, healing and complete recovery.
