Oh goodness....it is a chilly cloudy day with possible rain arriving. Most likely there will be no rain but it is a nice thought. It seems to be breezy out there...I am staying indoors!
I received lovely Christmas gifts and thoughtful ones too. Sis Lyn sent me an electric bottle opener and it works great for these arthritic hands. then this arrived from Carol, Lisa's mom. Only a Rhode Islander/New Englander can really appreciate it. I love it! Finally put it away until next year.
Remember I told you we bought new lamps and end tables for the living room?
There is one at each side of the sofa and this one by the chair where I sit. So convenient to have electric outlets....2 and charging outlets....2 at the back of the table. I saw these and knew we needed them. the 2 shelves are great for our individual books and other things.
Taking a break form birds so I decided to make a Babushka doll. They go by different names with difference in style and meaning; Russian nesting dolls, Matryoshka dolls...and I am sure other names. Babushka, in Russian, refers to an old woman, while matryoshka means mother. Then there are Japanese Kokeshi dolls. The list goes on and on of traditional dolls. I hope to make a few different dolls. It is nice to sit and chat with you but the fairy housekeeper once again skipped my home so time to pick up her slack. Glad to have you stop by. Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

I also do a little bit of felt work when my hand hurts after stitching.

Very nice, new tables and lamps Gracie. The little Babushka is adorable.
End tables, charging stations, they are pretty. In this day and age, makes sense. I have extension cords to charge my phone and iPad! It's good to see you crafting Gracie. Hope your hand is doing well:)
I love your dialect teatowel! We have them here for both Norfolk and Suffolk dialects.
The Russian Doll is lovely, you need to make a series of smaller ones now!
What a cute little doll!
The doll is so cute. What a nice job you did. Congrats on getting your New England stitching done. Looks great. How nice to get new end tables. I know we really enjoy having the plugs on tables when we travel, don't have any yet at home. But, maybe at some point we will.
