A lovely morning which is suppose to become hot...they say 100. At the moment it is comfortable. Murphy and I took our walk but had so many distractions; bunnies, quail and doves! So much excitement that he is napping.
Poor boy needs a trim. He is still handsome (going to be 8 months old on May 3rd). This is a place he likes to sit to look out into the courtyard. He will poke his head through the verticals and move aside the curtain.
This is how he greets Alan every day. He will grab onto Alan's bag and wrap his front legs around and Alan will walk into the bedroom with Murphy in tow. Before it gets to this however, Alan is usually sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room giving Murphy total attention. The same when Lisa comes in from work... she also must just sit and Murphy is all over her with kisses.
Yesterday I made a cover for my bathroom window....
The fabric is cut into strips and on a few I embellished with fussy cuts to mimic the top section. The window is a frosted one and is visible from the roadside. A nighttime when a light is on I feel as if there is no privacy. I am happy with the look.
I rearranged part of the living room again.
I moved the bookcases all together and the saddle over to the side of the desk. Yes, there is an English Saddle in the living room. Lisa was taking lessons back in RI and will eventually find a place out here. We ordered a desk set for Alan which hopefully will arrive by end of week.
New to our kitchen area is a pantry cupboard which completes everything for now.
Eventually we are having the cabinets redone in white. This freed up a cupboard for bowls and containers.
Well, I have been swishing and fluffing in the laundry area. Time for another cup of coffee and something to munch. Sleep was not really there last night. I spent much of the night awake... tired today!☕
I am wishing good thoughts for all of you...stay well and be careful out there. I go out only when I need to and Alan gets me home very quickly. Trying times for sure. If you need to "chat" you can always email me and I will be sure to "chat" right back. Being there for one another anyway we can!🙋
Thank you for your kind words and for your friendship.

Hi Gracie and company, I enlarged your photo's so I could get a better look. Love the curtains, nice cupboard. Murphy is so sweet. Glad Alan is taking good care of you. I am doing good. It was cancer in the kidney but it's all gone and the doctor is happy with that. He called me the other night. I will see him in 6 months, hopefully all this virus shit is all gone by then. I am working on a veg garden by the side of my house. Dave has put up boards around it to keep the grass out. It's 48 square feet. Lots of room. Big hugs to you all. Be safe.
Murphy is certainly full of love for you all.
He's a handsome chap.
With love x
Are groomers open by you Gracie? I like what you did with the bathroom window. You should not leave the house without a mask Gracie.
Gracie: He is so cute, what a handsome little guy he is.
What a sweet homecoming everyday for Alan and Lisa.
Nice changes to your home, I love the saddle.
Stay healthy

Murphy is really growing .
Always nice to have a change around in the home .
Stay safe and have fun.
I think a lot of people are going to need a haircut when this is over, not just Murphy!
The window covering looks lovely. A good idea to ensure privacy and brighten up the bathroom too.
Your bathroom window covering is so bright and cheery! I'm with you... we have textured blocks for our master bathroom window and at night you can definitely see shapes at the very least. I've tried curtains there, but the bathtub is right below them and they hang down clear to the rim of the tub. Gave that up after a few years. Oh well. We don't really use that tub anyway as we both shower. Take care!
LOVE your window. How cleaver your design is. Would never have thought of that, but am going to remember it. I don't have any frosted windows, but...we need to redo our bathroom so perhaps down the line. I truly love it and think I'll save your picture to remind me of your truly fantastic idea!!! Well done. Enjoy and stay safe.

Murphy sure is a cutie pie! Love your Kachinas up on your bookshelf. We used to live next to a Hopi family whose father was a carver of Kachinas. Beautiful. Stay safe!
Murphy sure is a character! Love your new bathroom curtains.
